Can I install the sound deadeners on a dirty surface? No, the surface must be clean and dry to ensure proper adhesion. How do I ensure the material adheres properly to the surface? After placing the cut piece of material, flatten it with your hand to remove air bubbles and irregularities, and use a special roller to adhere it to the surface securely.
Preparations before Installing
To make full use of sound deadener, you would need:
- Automobile sound deadeners
- Gloves
- Trim removal tools kit
- Degreaser or a cloth for wiping
- Pen
- Measuring tape
- Stationery knife or construction scissors
- Aluminum foil tape
- Roller
Installation Steps

Remove the panel
Before installing, locate the positons to be installed and remove the panel. -
Clean Surface & Make Template
Make sure that the surface on which you intend to install the product is clean and dry. We recommend you to make first a template of the required size out of cardboard. A previously made template will help you save time, effort and materials. -
Cut Material & Protect Yourself
Using an utility knife or scissors, cut the desired piece of material according to the template. Be careful and put on gloves to protect your hands at all stages of work. -
Remove Protective Paper Slowly & Flatten
Place the cut piece of material onto the surface where you want to install it (do not remove the protective paper}. Make sure it fits the size, and only after that can the protective paper be removed. This must be done slowly and gradually so as not to damage the adhesive layer of the material. Now when your sheet is ready for installation, lay it down firmly with the sticky side to the metal surface. Make sure it is adhered firmly to the surface. Flatten the sheet with your hand to exclude any remaining air bubbles and irregularities between the metal and the material. At this stage, for a better adhesion of the material to the surface, use a special roller for rolling down the material. -
Flnal Finishing & Completion Now, in reverse oraer, replace the trim elements that you’ve removed from the car. Make sure that all parts are fit well and no interval space is left. If this is not the case, cut the insulation with an utility knife to give more space to fasteners and locks.
