Product Information:
The Mithos Avant and Mithos Avant Plus are hair clippers designed for home
use. The product includes various accessories such as comb guides, blades, a
bottle of lubricating oil, a cleaning brush, a protective cloth, clips, a
large brush, and a carrying case.
Safety Advice and Warnings:
- Children aged 3 and above can use the appliance under supervision.
- Children aged 8 and above, as well as individuals with reduced capabilities, can use the appliance under supervision or instruction.
- Do not use the appliance near water sources.

Product Usage Instructions
Usage:
- Unroll the cable completely before plugging in.
- Remove the blades protective cover (Fig.1).
- Cut the hair from the base of the neck upwards.
- Cut against the hair gradually moving from the head towards the ears (Fig.2).
- Continue cutting towards the back of the head (Fig.3).
- Finish by cutting to the top of the head.
Maintenance:
Do not disassemble the blades for cleaning.
Cleaning:
Follow the manufacturer’s recommended cleaning instructions. Use the provided
cleaning brush to remove hair and debris.

Q: Can children use this product?
A: Children aged 3 and above can use the appliance under supervision.

SAFETY ADVICE AND WARNINGS
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 3 years under supervision
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision
- WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water

USE AND CARE:
- Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted or are defective. Replace them immediately.

- Do not use the appliance if on/off switch doesn’t works
- If you use the appliance in a bathroom or similar place, unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use, even if it is only for a short while, as proximity to water involves a risk, even if the appliance is disconnected.

SERVICE:
- The appliance has been oiled in origin, In order to maintain the appliance in good operation conditions we suggest greasing the blades every time you clean it by putting a few drops of oil on the ends of the blade, and finally switching on the appliance during a few seconds.
- Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by specialist personnel, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to replace existing parts/accessories
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and avoid.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed
INSERTION OF A COMB GUIDE: (FIG 1)
- To attach the comb guide, pick up by its two tips and press against the blades of the appliance until is firmly fixes
- To extract the comb guide, just pull out.
USE:
- Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
- Remove the protective cover (Fig.1)
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Make sure that the blades are correctly aligned.
- Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off switch
HOW TO CUT THE HAIR:
- Situate the person whose hair you are going to cut so that the top of their head is at your eye level. Place a protective towel or cloth around their neck.
- To obtain best results is better to use the appliance on dry hair, as it is much easier to control the hair and the results
- Comb hair well before cutting. Make sure that there are no tangles or knots.
- Hold the appliance in calm and relaxed manner in order to ensure maximum control of the cut and uniform result. Proceed to use short cuts gradually going around the head.
- Leave the hair a little longer than desired length as it can always be altered later.
- While working adapt the comb/comb guide to the desired result
- At regular intervals, stop cutting in order to comb the hair and check the results so far.
STEP 1 – NAPE:
- Attach the comb guide size 3 / 6 mm
- Hold the appliance with the razor facing downwards and begin to cut the hair from the base of the neck.
- Make some upward movements, raising the appliance gradually and away from the head, cutting the hair gradually until the height of the ears (Fig.2)
!STEP 2 – BACK OF HEAD:
- Attach comb guide size 9 / 12mm and continue with the back of the head (Fig.3)
STEP 3 – SIDE OF HEAD:
- Attach a new shorter guide, size 3 / 6 mm to trim the sideburns.
- Attach the longest comb guide size 9 / 12 mm again and continue until you reach the top of the head.
STEP 4 – TOP OF HEAD:
- Using comb guide size 9 / 12 mm, pass the appliance from the back to the front, against the growth of the hair (Fig.4). In some cases it’s necessary to go over what you have done a second time from front to back.
- The comb guide size 3 / 6 mm is for when you want to achieve a more precise cut.
- Use comb guides size 12 mm to leave hair at a longer length. Hold the hair up with the comb or the comb and your fingers and cut.
- Always work form back to the front reducing the length between your fingers or the comb and the head gradually.
STEP 5 – FINAL TOUCH:
- Finally use the appliance without attaching any comb guides to the blades to cut the hair around the base of the neck, the sides of the neck and the ears.
- To make sideburns straight, turn the appliance over to use the upper blades (Fig.5). Move the appliance adapting it the physiognomy of the head. To achieve more precise results use a shaver
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE:
- Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch
- Unplug the appliance from the mains
- Clean the appliance
- Put on the protective cover.
CLEANING:
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
- Clean the blades and the comb guide with the cleaning brush. Remove the hairs from the blades and from inside the appliance with the brush. It is important to clean off remaining hairs after each use.
- NEVER disassemble the blades from the appliance to clean.
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
- Take the appliance to an authorized technical support service if product is damaged or other problems arise Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.
- If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced and you should proceed as you would in the case of damage
