Product Usage Instructions
Application:
The KC/F1 convector heaters are designed for use in hazardous areas where explosive gases may be present. They are suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas and gas groups IIA and IIB. Common applications include paint stores and petrochemical installations due to their compact and durable design.

- ATEX is certified for hazardous environments.
- Built-in externally adjustable thermostat (suffix T).
- Tough 2mm thick epoxy coated steel cabinet with galvanized steel rear panel.
- Galvanized steel bracket for wall mounting included.
- The sloped top design prevents obstruction of air outlet.
Options:
- ATEX-approved wall-mounted EExd thermostat (Ref. KEX-1).
APPLICATION
KC/F1 heaters can be installed where potentially explosive gases may be
present and are suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas and for gas
groups 11A and 11B.
They must be mounted horizontally and operated where the ambient temperature
does not exceed 40°C. The heaters stamped T3 can be installed in areas
designated T3, T2, or T1. Heaters stamped T4 can be installed in areas
designated T4, T3, T2 or T1.
Typical applications include paint stores and petrochemical installations.
Their tough and compact construction makes the KC/F1 particularly suitable
where space is at a premium.
