• DO NOT use the cable ejection tools for a task for which they are not designed. The tools are intended for use on 12/24V automotive wiring systems only.
• Ensure that the vehicle ignition is turned off before releasing connectors.
• WARNING! Use extreme caution when working near ignition coils, distributor caps, ignition wires and spark plugs. These components create hazardous voltages when the engine is running.
• Remove personal metallic items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches. A battery can produce a short-circuit current that is high enough to weld such items to the vehicle and cause severe burns.
• Ensure that hands and clothing are clear of fan blades, belts and other moving or hot parts of the engine. Remove ties and contain long hair.
• Wear safety eye protection and protective clothing. If working near a battery avoid touching eyes.
• Wash immediately with soap and water if battery acid contacts skin or clothing.
• DO NOT smoke or allow a spark or flame when in the vicinity of a battery or engine.
• Ensure that the cable release tools are in good condition before use. DO NOT use if damaged.
• Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
• DO NOT use the cable ejection tools for a task for which they are not designed.
