SAFETY
- √ Read the entire manual before using this product. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.
- √ The tester is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the tester by a person responsible for their safety.
- ×DO NOT operate the tester if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way.
- ×DO NOT not disassemble the tester.
- √ Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. To reduce the risk of a battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by the battery manufacturer or any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of the battery. Review the cautionary markings on these products and on the engine.
- ×DO NOT smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of a battery or engine.
- √ Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches when working with a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like, to metal, causing a severe burn.
- √ Reduce the risk of dropping a metal tool onto the battery. It might spark or short-circuit the battery or other electrical part that may cause an explosion.
- √ Have someone nearby to come to your aid when you work near a lead-acid battery.
- √ Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts your skin, clothing or eyes.
- √ If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash the area with soap and water. If acid enters your eye, immediately flood the eye with cold water and obtain medical attention immediately.
- √ If battery acid is accidentally swallowed, drink milk or water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.

PREPARING THE BATTERY
-
Be sure the area around the battery is well ventilated while the battery is being tested.
-
Clean the battery terminals. Be careful to keep corrosion from coming in contact with your eyes, nose and mouth. 4.3. Inspect the battery for a cracked or broken case or cover. If the battery is damaged, do not use the tester.

If the battery is not a sealed maintenance-free battery, check the level of each cell and if necessary, add distilled water until the battery acid reaches the level specified by the manufacturer. This helps purge excessive gas from the cells. DO NOT overfill.

If necessary to remove the battery from vehicle to test it, always remove the ground terminal from the battery first.
Make sure all accessories in the vehicle are off to ensure you DO NOT cause any arcing. -
Modern vehicles contain extensive electronic systems. You are required to check with the vehicle Manufacturer, for any specific instructions regarding the use of this type of equipment on each vehicle. No liability will be accepted for damage / injury, where this product is not used in accordance with all instructions.

Note: The internal battery is charged during the connection to the battery being tested.

INSTALLING THE APP

onload and install the App “SEALEY BT3000”. (App Store or Google Pay). Look for the icon .
Note: for Apple devices it requires iOS 8.0 or latter, Android devices, OS 4.3 or later. -
New Use Setup
When using the App for the first time, you must complete Registration. -
Run the App on your mobile device.

Select “NEW USER” (fig.2)

Fill in all of the required fields, and then check the box for “AGREE TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS”. Press “CONTINUE” (fig.3)

Log in: Enter the email address provided during registration. Check the box for” REMEMBER ACCOUNT”. Press “LOG IN”. (fig.4)
CONNECTING THE TESTER

Before testing a battery in a vehicle, turn off the ignition, all accessories and loads. Close all of the vehicle`s doors and boot lid.

Make sure the battery terminals are clean. Use a wire brush to clean them if necessary.
Note: This tester works best if the battery connects have been removed and the battery posts have been cleaned. Any corrosion between the tester clamps and the battery connectors, or between the battery connectors and the battery posts, will degrade the tester`s efficiency. -
Connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive (POS,P,+) battery post. Connect the negative (black) clamp to the negative (NEG,N,-) battery post.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Battery Test
-
Run the App on your mobile device and log in.

Press “Scan+” in the upper right corner of the HOME screen. (If the TEST icon is red, the tester is connected; no need to proceed to Scan+.) The system will scan and find the tester.

Once the tester shows on the screen, select “Press To Start” to connect.
-
When connected, press “CONNECTED CONTINUE” (fig.6). In this screen, the user may create a name for the tester. (fig.9)
Swipe the “TEST>” area (fig.7)
of the active tester to bring up the Edit option. (fig.8) -
Press “TEST” to enter the testing process.

Select “Battery Test” Set up test on each icon to select Battery Type, Rating and Set Capacity (or Rated CCA)

Press “START TEST” to begin testing. At any time in the process press “<” to return to the previous screen. (fig.10)

Confirm whether the battery has been charged. (fig.11)

The test report is displayed. (fig.12) User may select “RETEST BATTERY”

Press “EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS” and then select the application.
Note: Your mobile device must have E-Mail capability to use the EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS function. (fig.13/14) -
Results will be sent.
System Test

From the TEST menu , select , Select Battery Type, Rating and Set Capacity (or Rated CCA) (fig.15)

Press “START TEST” to begin the system test. At any time in the process, press “<” to return to the previous screen.

Follow all screen prompts. (fig.16 to fig.21)

The test report is displayed. (fig.22)

Press “EMAIL/ TEXT RESULTS”, and then select the application.
Note: Your mobile device must have E-Mail capability to use the EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS function. -
Results will be sent.
EV Battery Test

From the TEST menu, select “EV BATTERY TEST” Set up the test by swiping up or down on each column to select the battery brand and model. (fig.23)

Press “START TEST” to begin testing. At any time in the process, press “<” to return to the previous screen.
Set up test by swiping up or down on each column to select Battery Type, Rating and Set Capacity (or Rated CCA) -
Follow all screen prompts.

The test report is displayed.

Press “EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS” and then select the application. Note: Your mobile device must have E-Mail capability to use the EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS function.

Results will be sent.
Start-Stop Test

From the TEST menu select.

Press “START TEST” to begin testing. (fig.24)

Follow all screen prompts.

The test report is displayed.

Press “EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS” and then select the application.
Note: Your mobile device must have E-Mail capability to use the EMAIL/TEXT RESULTS function. -
Results will be sent.
Accessing Test Results.
- From the HOME screen, scroll down and select “TEST RECORDS”.(fig.25)
- Select from stored test records to view, email/text or delete.(fig.26)
Environmental Protection
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling center and
disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain
off any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the
product and the fluids according to local regulations.
WEEE Regulations
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the
EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the
product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally
protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling
information.
Battery Removal
The battery is not intended for removal
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealy Ltd

(as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak’s
registered compliance scheme. Jack Sealy Ltd.’s Batteries Producer
