NEPTUNE 24 ft. Solar Pool Cover
Warranty Information
RBF International Ltd. (hereinafter the “Distributor” of the NEPTUNE brand) warrants to the original purchaser that the Distributor at its sole discretion, subject to the warranty provisions, will replace a NEPTUNE solar blanket that it deems to be a manufacture defect. The purchaser must follow the provided installation instructions and use information; non-compliance voids the warranty. The only conditions covered under this warranty are delamination and seam failure. The Distributor will reject warranty requests resulting from high chlorine and/or alkalinity levels, blanket abuse, negligence, and other causes of product failure. Blistering, flaking, and delamination are the most visible effects of Chemical Damage, and any such defects void the warranty.
3-Season Warranty with 1 season full
The claimant shall pay the following percent of the list price at the time of the claim for replacement cover plus tax and freight.
- 0% – 1st season
- 50% – 2nd season
- 90% – 3rd Season
- The solar blanket must be returned to the retailer from whom it was purchased, along with the original invoice, if a manufacturing defect is found during installation or in the following days.
- Otherwise, refer to the section of IMPORTANT INFORMATION on the page below.
- The returned solar blanket must be shipped prepaid.
- This warranty is only conditions covered under this warranty are delamination and seam failure.
NOTE
- Solar covers must never be installed on a pool immediately after a pool shock or chlorine treatment. The concentrated chemical product will destroy the solar blanket.
- A minimum delay of 24 hours after any chemical treatment must be allowed before reinstalling the solar blanket on the pool.
- This warranty will be void if the solar blanket for damaged caused by excess chemical use to respect this delay. Delamination of the solar blanket resulting from improper storage or exposure to the sun is not covered by this warranty.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- DO NOT RETURN THE SOLAR BLANKET TO THE DEALER OR COVER TECH POST PLACEMENT OF COVER ON YOUR SWIMMING POOL.
- BLISTERING, FLAKING, AND DELAMINATION ARE THE MOST VISIBLE EFFECTS OF CHEMICAL DAMAGE AND ANY SUCH DEFECTS VOID THE WARRANTY.
WARRANTY VOID UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
- USE OF EXCESSIVE CHEMICALS AT ANY TIME.
- USE OF A SALTWATER CHLORINATION SYSTEM.
- COVER IS EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT WHEN NOT IN USE.
- COVER BEING PLACED ON THE POOL WITHIN 24 HOURS OF CHLORINATION
- THE COVER IS NOT RINSED OF CHEMICALS POST-REMOVAL FROM THE POOL.
- COVER BEING DRAGGED ACROSS DECK.
- THE SOLAR COVER’S BASE RESIN IS POLYETHYLENE. THIS PRODUCT’S PRIMARY FUNCTIONS ARE INCREASING WATER TEMPERATURE, REDUCING WATER EVAPORATION, AND LESSENING CHEMICAL LOSS.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND INSTALLATION
- Your solar blanket must be installed on the pool with the bubble side down. If trimming is necessary, allow the blanket to rest on the pool for 24 hours before trimming. Initial trimming should be slightly larger to allow for sun exposure.
- Precision trimming is necessary to ensure a custom fit. Be very careful not to cut the liner if you have a vinyl-lined pool. The blanket should not overlap the pool sidewall to prevent wind infiltration under the blanket.
REMOVAL
- To remove the blanket, two people can pull 3 to 4 feet at a time and fanfold the blanket in an accordion fashion outside of the pool.
- To avoid handling damage, do not drag a blanket across the coping or rough deck. Once off the pool, the blanket must be kept in the shade or covered with a protective cover sheet (not included).
- An uncovered solar blanket (when not in use) exposed to the sun will result in extensive damage to the blanket and void the warranty.
IMPORTANT MAINTENANCE TIPS
- You should monitor the level of chlorine below 3 PPM. When shocking the pool, keep the blanket off for at least 24 hours.
- Damage caused by excessive chlorine exposure (patches of brittle, flaked bubbles) will void the Warranty.
- You can clean your cover using a mild detergent, water, and a soft brush. A clean cover should perform much better.
- Store your cover away from rodents and avoid areas where the temperature can reach 120°F.
PERFORMANCE
- When used properly, your solar blanket should provide maximum heat by day and insulate by night.
- The temperature could rise by 10°F or more.
- The blanket should keep the pool cleaner, reduce chemical usage, and result in water conservation.

What should I do if I notice a manufacturing defect in my solar blanket?
- You should return the solar blanket to the retailer with the original invoice if a manufacturing defect is found during installation or in the following days.
Is there a period to wait after chemical treatment before placing the solar cover on the pool?
- Yes, a minimum delay of 24 hours after any chemical treatment must be allowed before placing the solar blanket on the pool.
How can I avoid warranty voidance due to chemical damage?
- Avoid using excessive chemicals at any time and ensure the cover is not exposed to sunlight when not in use or placed on the pool within 24 hours of chlorination. Also, do not drag the cover across the deck.
Can I trim my solar blanket to fit my pool?
