Assembly

Caution! Do not use electric screwdrivers during installation. Do not screw the screws into the drill holes at an angle or with force

  1. Use a soft surface for assembly, e.g. the packaging cardboard.
  2. Push the tubular frame A downwards (1) and the tubular frame B downwards (2) together at the fastening points X01 and X02 so that the holes are on top of each other.
  3. Fasten both tubular frames using a screw (A) and a hexagon nut (B) at fastening point X01.wiltec-64197-Bicycle-Trailer-with-Transport-Box-FIG-5
  4. 4 Slide the tubular frame A upwards (3) and B upwards (4) and together at the fastening points x03 and x04 so that the holes are on top of each other.
  5. fasten both tubular frames using a screw (A) and a hexagon nut (B) at fastening point X03.wiltec-64197-Bicycle-Trailer-with-Transport-Box-FIG-6
  6. place a vertical brace (5) on the 2 holes at fixing point X05.
  7. fasten the vertical brace (5) to the fastening point X05 using 2 screws (A) and a hexagon nut (B).

  9. Place the previously assembled upper tubular frames (3+4) on the vertical strut (5).
  10. Fasten the upper tubular frame (3+4) to the fastening point X09 using 2 screws (A) and 2 hexagon nuts (B).
  11. Repeat steps 11-12 for fixing points x10-x12.
  12. Loosen and remove the hexagon nut and the washer from the axle brace (10).
  13. Insert the axle brace into the opening of the wheel (6).
  14. Insert the wheel (4) into the holder provided at fixing point X13
  15. Place one washer per side on both threaded ends of the wheel (6).
  16. Screw one hexagon nut per side onto each of the two threaded ends of the impeller (6).
  17. Tighten the hex nuts with a wrench.
  18. Repeat steps 14 – 19 for another impeller (6) at fixing point X14.

  20. Loosen and remove the nut of the rear reflector (12).
  21. Insert the rear reflector into the hole at fixing point X15.
  22. Screw the hexagon nut onto the threaded end of the rear reflector (12).
  23. Tighten the hexagon nut with a wrench
  24. Repeat steps 22-25 for another rear reflector (12) at attachment point X16. 6.
  25. Loosen and remove the hexagon nut of the side reflector (11).
  26. Insert the side reflector into the hole at attachment point X17.
  27. Screw the hexagon nut onto the threaded end of the side reflector (11).
  28. Tighten the hexagon nut with a wrench.
  29. Repeat steps 27 – 30 for 3 more side reflectors (11) at fixing points X18 – X20.
  30. Fasten the rear part of the drawbar (8) using 2 screws (A) and 2 hexagon nuts (B) at fastening point X22.
  31. Fasten the rear part of the drawbar (8) additionally using 2 screws (A) and two hexagon nuts (B) at fastening point X21.

  33. Slide the front part of the drawbar (7) into the rear part of the drawbar (8) at attachment point X23 so that the holes are on top of each other.
  34. Attach both parts to the attachment point X23 using the screw (C) and a hexagon nut (B).
  35. Place the handle for the drawbar (9) on the fastening hole at fastening point X24.
  36. Attach the handle of the drawbar (9) using the screw (D) and a hexagon nut (B) on the end of the screw at attachment point X24,
  37. Connect the trailer coupling (14) to the drawbar.

Fitting the trailer coupling to the towing bike

Note! The trailer coupling included in the scope of delivery requires a standard seat clamp, which enables the trailer coupling to be mounted on the seat tube of the towing bike.

If the towing bike does not have a seat clamp, a separate seat clamp must be purchased.

  1. Loosen and remove the bolt (3) and the hexagon nut from the trailer coupling.
  2. If the towing bike does not have a saddle clamp, place the saddle clamp (1) around the saddle tube on the towing bike.
  3. Hold the trailer coupling to the saddle clamp so that the holes in the trailer coupling are above the holes in the saddle clamp.
    • Note! The ball head (2) of the trailer coupling must point upwards.
  4. Insert the screw (3) through both drill holes.
  5. Screw the hexagon nut hand-tight onto the end of the bolt.
  6. Only with retrofitted fifth wheel clamp: Adjust the correct height of the trailer coupling by holding the drawbar of the trailer.
    • Important! The drawbar of the trailer must not rub against the bicycle tyre.
  7. Tighten the screw (3) with a suitable hexagon wrench.
