Safety Warnings
Before using the MST210 Socket Tester, please take note of the following safety warnings:

  • The MST210 cannot identify a Neutral to-Earth reversal.
  • This tester does not replace the need for a full electrical test of circuits as specified by BS7671.
  • It is intended for the initial diagnosis of simple wiring faults only.
  • If any problems are found or suspected, refer to a qualified electrician for repair.

Instructions for Use

  1. Verify the operation by plugging the MST210 into a known good 13A socket.
  2. Plug the tester into the socket to be tested and switch it on.
  3. Check the indication displayed by the leds against the provided table for diagnosis of the wiring status.

Cleaning Instructions
To clean the MST210 Socket Tester, follow these instructions:

  • Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
  • Do not use water, chemicals, or detergents of any kind.

The Megger MST210 Socket Tester is designed to provide a quick and easy indication of wiring errors that may be present at a socket outlet. Using simple green and red LEDs, correct wiring can be verified with no need to isolate the supply or disassemble the socket.
Simply plug the tester into the socket. If the wiring is correct, two green LEDs will illuminate. If either the green LED does not light or the red LED comes on, there is a wiring fault. NOTES: The MST210 cannot identify a Neutral to Earth reversal. The Megger MST210 Socket Tester does not eliminate the need for a full electrical test of circuits as specified by BS7671 and is supplementary to it.
