- WARNING: Exercise caution as the mixing blades are extremely sharp. Handle with care during both use and cleaning.
- WARNING: Avoid spilling liquid on the connector.
- WARNING: This device contains a heating element that retains residual heat after use.
- WARNING: Misuse of this appliance may result in injury.
- This appliance is suitable for individuals with reduced capabilities or those lacking experience, provided they are supervised, instructed on safe usage, and understand associated hazards.
- Children must not play with or use the appliance. Keep the appliance and cord out of their reach.
- This appliance is not designed for operation with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- If the supply cable is damaged, replace it with a special cable assembly available from the manufacturer or its authorised service agent.
- Programs are configured exclusively for making soup or jam from scratch.
- Avoid proximity to the spout or touching the housing while the machine is in operation.
- The “Mode” button is non-operational during machine operation. To switch programs, press the Start/Stop Button and re-select.
- This appliance is intended for personal use only and should not be used for commercial purposes.
- Use the appliance solely for its intended purpose, following the provided operating instructions. Any other use is deemed inappropriate.
- The warranty excludes failures resulting from incorrect operation, man-made damage, or attempted repairs.
- Upon first use (including after adaptation), the pulping time may be extended.
- Some ingredients may cause staining on the lower lid and anti-spill electrodes, which is normal and does not affect the drinks safety.
- The intermittent fast and slow sound during blending is normal and necessary for fully crushing and releasing nutrients.
- Avoid continuous pulping for an extended period to prevent the motor from activating the automatic protection function. The motor will resume normal operation after complete cooling.
Location:
- Always locate your appliance away from the edge of a worktop.
- Ensure that the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors, or near water.
Mains Cable:
- The mains cable should reach from the socket to the jug without straining the connections.
- Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of a worktop where a child could reach it.
- Do not let the cable run across an open space e.g. between a low socket and table.
- Do not let the cable run across a cooker or toaster or other hot area which might damage the cable.
Personal Safety:
- WARNING: To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug and appliance in water or any other liquid.
- WARNING: Avoid contact with moving parts.
- Extreme caution must be observed when moving an appliance with hot contents.
- Do not use product with wet or moist hands.
Treating Scalds:
- Run cold water over the affected area immediately. Do not stop to remove clothing, get medical help quickly.
Other Safety Considerations:
- If the mains lead of this appliance is damaged do not use it. Contact Hamilton Beach Customer Services for advice.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage to the unit.
- Do not place the appliance on or near heat sources such as gas or electric stove, ovens, or burners.
- Keep the appliance and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, and sharp edges.
- When using the unit, ensure the lid is in place before switching on.
- Do not remove the lid until the blade has stopped.
- After one operation cycle, you must allow the appliance to cool down completely, then clean the appliance to prevent burning.
- Do not operate the appliance for making soup continuously.
- Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the Soup Maker as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to sudden steaming.
Electrical Requirements:
Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with
your house electricity supply which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
Should the fuse in the mains plug require changing a 13 amp BS1362 fuse must
be fitted.

CONTROL PANEL
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Before first use:
It is important to clean your Soup Maker before first use or if it has not
been used for a long period of time.
When you first use your Soup Maker you may notice some smoke/vapour emitting
from the lid, this is normal and is simply grease that is used on some parts
of the appliance applied during the manufacturing process. After using a few
times this will stop.
How to use your Soup Maker:
- Ensure the Soup Maker is unplugged from the mains.
- Remove the lid, be careful not to touch the mixing blade.
- Place all the ingredients into the jug. Add the liquid last, filling up to between the max. & min. lines marked on the jug.
- Place the lid back on to the jug, ensuring it is securely in place.
- Plug into the mains. The icons will flash in sequence.
- The Soup Maker will beep, then the LED screen will show 88:88 & the icons will flash in sequence.
- Select the program by pressing the Mode Button; the icon will flash, & the cooking time will display. Initiate the cooking process & start the countdown by pressing the Start/Stop button.
- When finished, the Soup Maker will beep for 60 seconds & all icons will flash.
- Unplug the Soup Maker from the mains, remove the lid & pour the fresh soup into a bowl & enjoy!

Smooth:
The Smooth Soup programme is perfect for recipes like Spiced Butternut Squash
Soup. It ensures proper blending and gentle cooking for 21 minutes, resulting
in a ready-to-serve, delicious soup.
Juice:
The Juice setting on the Soup Maker is perfect for crafting smoothies or
milkshakes from fresh ingredients. The program takes 2 minutes, to produce a
ready-to-serve drink. This setting doesn’t heat ingredients, making it ideal
for refreshing cold drinks in hot weather.
Note: Do not put ice cubes in the Soup Maker.
Extra Smooth:
The Extra Smooth soup programme is ideal for tasty soup recipes that demand an
extra smooth consistency. It ensures the ingredients are blended to the
correct texture and gently cooked at the right temperature and time. The
programme lasts for 22 minutes, and then your soup is ready to serve and
enjoy.
Jam:
The Jam programme is perfect for fruits requiring a sweet and smooth
consistency. The programme ensures the ingredients are blended to the right
texture and gently cooked at the correct temperature and time. Lasting for 25
minutes, the programme prepares your jam, ready to serve and enjoy.
Chunky:
The Chunky soup programme suits rustic recipes like Chorizo and Orzo Soup,
with a 28-minute duration for thorough cooking of chunky ingredients. No
blending occurs, so it’s advised to cut vegetables into small dice. If the
soup is too chunky, use the Blend Function for desired consistency.
Blend/Clean:
The Blend/Clean setting lets you adjust soup consistency or clean the Soup
Maker. After cooking, press Mode to select Blend/Clean, then press Start/Stop
to blend the jug contents.
Cancelling or Changing Programs:
If you have selected a program incorrectly and the Start/Stop Button has been
pressed, or you want to cancel the program, simply press the Start/Stop Button
and hold for 2 seconds, the icons will flash. Press the Mode Button to select
the correct program and press the Start/Stop Button to restart.
LED Screen Guide:
The Soup Maker employs three processes-heating, resting, and blending-to craft
fresh soups, jams, and drinks. Each step is illustrated with a small animation
on the LED screen during the program, as illustrated below:
The Soup Maker utilises 3 different processes to create fresh soups, jam and drinks: heating, resting and blending. Each of these processes are highlighted during the program with a small animation on the LED Screen.
Heating:
The heating animation will appear in motion when Soup Maker is heating the
contents of the Jug.
Blending:
The blending animation will be displayed when the Mixing Blade is in use.
Resting:
During the program the Soup Maker will occasionally ‘rest,’ at which point no
animation will be shown. But the timer on the LED Screen will continue to
count down. This is normal. Note: During the resting period, do not lift the
lid as this will void the program. once the process is completed, the Soup
Maker will beep for 60 seconds and the screen will display the ‘End’ icon.
Completed:
When completed, Soup Maker will show the same animation as resting, but the
timer will display the ‘End’ icon, all icons on the panel will flash and beep
for 60 seconds.
Additional Functions:
- The screen will display E1 when the Anti-spill Sensor touches the liquid (the liquid over the max. mark), during working status. Then unplug from the mains, pour out some liquid and do not over the max. mark. (During E1 status, the Mode and Start/Stop Button are not workable.)
- Memory function. During working status, remove the Lid, the Soup Maker will pause for about 5 minutes. The Soup Maker will proceed to work if the Lid is covered correctly within 5 minutes. Otherwise, the Soup Maker will stop working and enter into standby mode if the Lid is not covered rightly more than 5 minutes.
- During working status, you can long-press the START/STOP button to stop working.
WARNING!
- DO NOT remove the Lid during working status.
- DO NOT use uncooked meat in the Soup Maker.
- DO NOT fill the content under the Min. line or exceed the Max. line on Soup Maker. DO NOT immerse the Lid and Jug in water or any other liquid.
- DO NOT allow water to get onto the electrical connections.
- DO NOT pour pre-made, or reheat tinned/carton soup/jam to reheat in the Soup Maker.
CLEANING & CARE
- The Soup Maker is NOT dishwasher safe, but it is simple and easy to clean. After use simply wash the Motor Housing and Mixing blade with warm water, and wipe with a soft sponge.
- DO NOT immerse in water. The inside of the Soup Maker jug, can also be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. If food is burned on, allow to soak and then wipe away with a sponge. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, dry cloth.
- Certain food types can burn if in contact with the base heating element. If this happens fill the Soup Maker with hot soapy water and allow to soak for 15 minutes. Any burnt on food can then be easily removed. Do not use metal scouring pads as this will scratch the base. After cleaning, dry all parts thoroughly.
WARNING! DO NOT immerse the Lid and Jug in water or any other liquid.
