I have used it several times usually on Modes #16 or 18 on a 90 setting but have seen no results in reducing swelling in my foot and leg.

The Mode function is great. It controls the electric pulse. Example:: Function 1 will pulse 1-2-3. Mode 4 will pulse4-3-1-5. There are 25 variations. Each time you change the mode you have to reset your intensity. It always goes back to 0 when changing modes.

Is this a tens unit only or does the foot pads actually move and “massage” the feet?

The foot pads do not move. It is basically a tens machine for your feet plus has the tens for your muscles. I bought it for my husband because of his neuropathy. Sadly he did not use it much at all but I do think it would have helped him.

Yes it is. I have been using this machine (but no the tens portion of it) daily for about 2 weeks. I am still waiting to feel the results that some of the reviewers claim to have gained after approximately a month of use. The device is certainly taunted as being most benefical. I certainly hope that that is the case.
