Device description
- Flex is a wall-mounted grab rail with a stable and secure grip for the hand. The design makes it possible to add on as many sections as needed and in angles/positions that suit each individual need.

Intended purpose
- Flex (hereafter also referred to as ”the device” or ”the product”), is an assistive device intended for alleviation of or compensation for a physical impairment due to an injury or dis-ability. The device is designed to give a stable and secure grip when standing or making a transfer when using the shower, toilet or bath.

Intended user group
- The user group for the device is based on the individual’s functional ability and not on a specific diagnosis, health condition or age. It is intended for individuals with a height of 146 cm or more, or a mass of 40 kg or more.
- Secondary users of the device are caregivers providing assistance and clinicians/technicians who set up the device.

- The device is intended for indoor use at home environments or institutions and is suitable for use in bathrooms, but not swimming pools or similar corrosive environments.

Etac Flex can be mounted in different positions. The additional handle can be mounted at angles of 22.5° between 0 and 90°. Etac Flex can be extended by an unlimited number of additional handles.
Mounting options
- Etac Flex has been designed to withstand a maximum user weight of 100 kg (220 lbs) and should only be mounted onto a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
- Screws: Etac recommends the accompanying screw set for mounting on wood/plywood or concrete walls.
- If in doubt about the wall’s load-bearing capacity or the suitability of the fixtures, an assessment should be carried out by a qualified person.
- In the case of other wall materials, or if the load-bearing capacity of the wall is deemed insufficient for any other reason, the wall can be reinforced by a qualified person.
- Mounting on a wall with insufficient load-bearing capacity or unsuitable fixtures poses a danger to the user!

- Follow the instructions under sections
- F1 & F4 for mounting on untracked concrete C20/25 to C50/60. Always mount using Fischer UX R 10 plugs.

Maintenance
- Clean the device with a solvent-free detergent which has a pH of 5-9, or with a 70% disinfectant solution. Can be decontaminated at max. 85°C if so required.
- Constituent materials are corrosion-resistant. 5-year guarantee against material and manufacturing defects. For terms and conditions, see www.etac.com.
Storage
The device should be stored indoors in a dry place at a temperature above 5°C. If the device has been stored for a long time (more than four months), its function must be checked by an expert before use.
