Community Internet using Starlink: easy to install and operate
Many communities have apartment buildings with limited or no Internet service. The STAR-6 and STAR-7 kits are designed to operate with a Starlink antenna to provide a managed Internet service for an apartment building. The Starlink Internet operates almost everywhere in the world and can be shared with residents in a community when the Internet service is managed using a Guest Internet controller. The unique Guest Internet features maintain good Internet performance for many users while ensuring that Starlink requirements are not exceeded.
The STAR-7 kit is a wireless expansion for the STAR-6 kit
The STAR-7 kit adds wireless access points to the STAR-6 apartment building kit so that a larger area can have WiFi access. Each WAP-1 wireless access point connects to the GIS-R4 provided with the STAR-6 kit. The WAP-1 wireless access points are installed throughout the building to provide good wireless coverage. The GIS-R4 sets rules for Internet access so that the service from one Starlink antenna can be shared between many people, and to ensure that the Starlink data capacity is not exceeded which may result in a service interruption.
