How do I know when the battery is fully charged?
If all 3 LEDs are lit, the battery is fully charged. If only 1 LED blinks, it indicates that the battery is low and needs to be recharged.

Proper use

The machine is designed solely for the damp brushing (cleaning) of surfaces in private outdoor and indoor areas. The surfaces must be suitable for being brushed (cleaned) using the accesso-ries supplied.
The equipment is to be used only for its prescri-bed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or inju-ries of any kind caused as a result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been de-signed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

Before starting the equipment

The equipment is supplied without batteries and without a charger.

Choice of accessories
Use only the brush/pad which is intended to be used for the surface you want to clean. Before you use a brush, test its suitability on an inconspi-cuous area.

Accessories provided with the product
The pre-ﬁ tted brush type MEDIUM 90/20 (Fig. 1 / Item 8) is suitable for coarse cleaning jobs on robust surfaces (e.g. tiles, concrete, granite, non- painted wood).

The included brush type SOFT 120/50 (Fig. 2/ Item 10) is also suitable for cleaning jobs on sensitive surfaces (e.g. garden furniture, showers, washbasins, sensitive tiles, car wheel rims).
The pads are attached to the pad holder by hook-and-loop fasteners.
The included white foam pad (Fig. 2 / Item 12) is attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11) with a press and is removed again with a ﬁ rm tug. It can be used as a dirt eraser and as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: painted and non-painted surfaces, glass, leather
Not suitable for: linoleum ﬂ oors, wood, copper, stainless steel, chrome, vehicle paintwork, anti-stick coatings, natural stone (marble and granite).
The included blue microﬁ ber pad (Fig. 2 / Item 13) is attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11) with a press and is removed again with a ﬁ rm tug. It can be used as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: hard or coated surfaces, cast iron, ceramics, porcelain, metal, aluminium
The included green kitchen ﬁ ber pad (Fig. 2 / Item 14) is attached to the pad holder (Fig. 2 / Item 11) with a press and is removed again with a ﬁ rm tug. It can be used as a cleaning pad.
Suitable for: scratch-resistant surfaces or ma-terials (e.g. non-coated pots and pans, cast iron, barbecue grids, ceramics)
Not suitable for: coated, painted and otherwise scratch-sensitive surfaces or materials.

Special accessories (not included with the product)
The ULTRA 95/25 brush with brass bristles is suitable for removing stubborn dirt from sensitive surfaces (including cast-iron, enameled barbecue grids), for removing paint from wood and metals, and for preparing weather-beaten wooden furni-ture. Wood should always be brushed along the grain. Wear protective gloves when you ﬁ t the brush.

The SOFT 170/40 brush is suitable for cleaning e.g. car wheel rims, garden furniture, blinds, ga-rage doors, tiles, greenhouse and conservatory frames, and for removing green growth from plas-tered, painted and wooden walls.

Changing the cleaning brushes/pad holders

Brush type SOFT 120/50 / pad holder

Turn the pre-ﬁ tted MEDIUM 90/20 brush counter-clockwise as far as the stop (Fig. 3) and pull it oﬀ the brush mount (Fig. 4).
Turn the mounting ring (Fig. 4 /A) Item coun-ter-clockwise and pull it oﬀ the brush mount (Fig. 5).
Turn the brush cover (Fig. 5 / Item 1) counter-clockwise and remove it (Fig. 6).
Press the brush or pad holder onto the brush mount (Fig. 7) and turn it clockwise (Fig. 8) as far as the stop.
The SOFT 120/50 brush (Fig. 1 / Item 10) can now be used.
Before a pad can be used it must be pressed onto the pad holder. Pad and pad holder both have a hook-and-loop fastener.

Brush type MEDIUM 90/20

To use the roller-shaped brush type MEDIUM 90/20 you need the brush cover (Fig. 1/Item 1). Place the brush cover on the brush mount as shown in Fig. 9. Check that the recesses and the lugs (Fig. 9) lie one above the other. Turn the brush cover counter-clockwise (Fig. 10). Then ﬁ t the mounting ring (Fig. 4 / Item 4) and the MEDI-UM 90/20 brush.
The mounted brush cover (Fig. 1/Item 1) can be turned in both directions as far as the respective stop.

Each time before use, check the following:

That the equipment is in perfect condition and that the safety devices and the cleaning brush are complete.
That all screws are securely fastened.
That all moving parts move smoothly.

Fitting the battery (Fig. 11)

Open the fastener (Item 5), swing away the metal clip (Item 5a) and then swing open the battery cover (Item 4). Note: The battery cover has a magnetic switch that switches oﬀ the machine as soon as the battery lid is opened. When you close the battery lid it presses against an enclosing seal (Item B). Check that the seal is not damaged.
Push the battery into the battery mount provided. The battery will be heard to click into place when it has been pushed fully in. To take out the battery, press the pushlock button (Item C) and remove the battery.

Charging the battery (Fig. 12)

Take the battery pack out of the equipment. Do this by pressing the pushlock button.
Check that your mains voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Insert the power plug of the charger into the socket outlet. The green LED will then begin to ﬂ ash.
Insert the battery pack into the charger.
In the section entitled „Charger indicator“ you will ﬁ nd a table with an explanation of the LED indicator on the charger.

The battery pack can become a little warm during the charging. This is normal.

If the battery pack fails to charge, check:

whether there is voltage at the socket outlet
whether there is good contact at the charging contacts

If the battery pack still fails to charge, send

the charger
and the battery pack to our customer service center.

To ensure that items are properly packaged and delivered when you send them to us, please contact our customer service or the point of sale at which the equipment was purchased.

When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and ﬁ res.
To ensure that the battery pack provides long ser-vice, you should take care to recharge it promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when you notice that the performance of the device drops. Never allow the battery pack to become fully di-scharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.
Battery charge level indicator (Fig. 13)
Press the button for the battery charge level indi-cator (Item D). The battery charge level indicator (Item E) shows the charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.

All 3 LEDs are lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED blinks:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.

All LEDs blink:
The battery temperature is too low. Remove the battery from the equipment, keep it at room tem-perature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this me-ans that the rechargeable battery has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove the battery from the equipment. Never use or charge a defective battery.

Operation

Please note that the statutory regulations gover-ning noise abatement may diﬀ er from one loca-tion to another.

Warning!

Make sure that you have fitted the brush/pad intended for the surface material you want to clean.
Inspect the brush/pad for dirt before you start your work and clean it if required.
The surface to be cleaned must be free of ob-jects such as stones, twigs, etc. These could be flung up by the rotating brush or scratch the surface.

On/Oﬀ switch (Fig. 14/Item 2)

Switching on
Press the On/Oﬀ switch (Fig. 14 / Item 2).
Switching oﬀ
Press the On/Oﬀ switch again (Fig. 14 / Item 2).

Speed switch (Fig. 14 / Item 3)

“I” => Low speed, longer battery running time.
“II” => High speed, shorter battery running time. Pressing several times will change the speed (I/II).

Practical tips
Important! Use only original accessories.

For optimum cleaning results always select the correct accessories for the job in hand. See section 5.1 for guidance. Before you use an accessory, test its suitability on an incons-picuous area.
Do not use any worn accessories.
Take care to apply uniform contact pressure.
Excessive contact pressure will not result in better cleaning results. The machine and the accessories will suffer greater wear.

Cleaning

The surroundings of the area you want to clean can be protected from splashing by me-ans of suitable coverings.
Use a suitable cleaning agent to dampen your choice of accessories or spray the agent on the surface you want to clean.
To prevent splashing, do not switch on the machine until you have placed the accesso-ries evenly on the surface to be cleaned.
Guide the MEDIUM 90/20 roller-shaped brush slowly and in lines (similar to a broom) over the surface to be cleaned.
Round accessories must be guided slowly and in circles over the surface to be cleaned.

Cleaning, maintenance and ordering spare parts

Before putting away or cleaning the equipment, switch oﬀ and remove the battery pack.

Cleaning

Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it down with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend cleaning the equipment im-mediately each time after use.
Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these may be aggressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment. The ingress of water into an electric power tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

Maintenance
There are no other parts inside the equipment which require maintenance.

Storage

Store the equipment and its accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric equipment in its original packaging.
Do not bend the rubber lips of the splash guard (Fig. 1/Item 7) outwards. Store the equipment in such a way that the rubber lips are not in contact with the ﬂ oor/ground as far as possible.

Wall bracket (Fig. 15)
You can use the wall bracket (Fig. 2/Item 15) for storage purposes.

Caution!
Check that there are no electric cables or other installations (such as water pipes) near the drill holes. Make sure that the wall bracket is ﬁ tted securely and horizontally. Use only suitable fasteners on a wall capable of bearing the load.

The supplied wall plugs and screws are suitable for the following:
Concrete, natural stone with a dense structure, solid bricks, solid limestone bricks, solid light-weight concrete bricks, and aerated concrete.

Transport

Always carry the machine with one hand on the handle.
Secure the equipment against slipping if you transport it in a vehicle.
As far as possible, use the original packaging for transporting the equipment.

Faults

The equipment does not work:
Check that the battery is charged and whether the charging unit is working. If the equipment will not work in spite of the voltage supply being OK, please send it to the customer service address below.

Important! The actual charging times may vary slightly from the stated

charging times depending on the existing battery charge.

Oﬀ| On| The battery is charged and ready for use. (READY TO GO)

The unit then changes over to gentle charging mode until the battery is fully charged.

To do this, leave the rechargeable battery on the charger for approx. 15 minutes longer.

Action:

Take the battery pack out of the charger. Disconnect the charger from the mains supply.

Flashing| Oﬀ| Adapted charging

The charger is in gentle charging mode.

For safety reasons the charging is performed less quickly and takes more time. The reasons can be:

– The rechargeable battery has not been used for a very long time.

– The battery temperature is outside the ideal range.

Action:

Wait for the charging to be completed; you can still continue to charge the battery pack.

Flashing| Flashing| Fault

Charging is no longer possible. The battery pack is defective.

Action:

Never charge a defective battery pack. Take the battery pack out of the charger.

On| On| Temperature fault

The battery pack is too hot (e.g. due to direct sunshine) or too cold (below 0° C).

Action:

Remove the battery pack and keep it at room temperature (approx. 20° C) for one day .

Disposal

Power tools, rechargeable batteries, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Do not dispose of power tools and batteries/rechargeable batteries into household waste!

Only for EU countries:

According to the Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transpo-sition into national law, power tools that are no longer usable, and, according to the Directive 2006/66/EC, defective or drained batteries must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
If disposed incorrectly, waste electrical and electronic equipment may have harmful eﬀ ects on the envi-ronment and human health, due to the potential presence of hazardous substances.

The guarantee is valid for a period of 2 years starting from the purchase date of the equipment. Guarantee claims must be submitted before the end of the guarantee period and within two weeks of the defect being noticed. No guarantee claims will be accepted after the end of the guarantee period. The original guaran-tee period remains applicable to the equipment even if repairs are carried out or parts are replaced. In such cases, the work performed or parts ﬁ tted will not result in an extension of the guarantee period, and no new guarantee will become active for the work performed or for any replacement parts ﬁ tted. To assert your guarantee claim, register the defective equipment at: www.Einhell-Service.com. You will need to provide proof of purchase of the new item of equipment. Equipment returned without such proof or without a rating plate are excluded from the guarantee services because of the lack of traceability. If you have taken the equipment with you to a diﬀ erent EU country than where you bought it, we will arran-ge for a local service partner to provide the guarantee services. If you take the equipment outside the EU, the guarantee will not apply.
