Product Usage Instructions
Initial Setup:
- Ensure the device is upgraded to RouterOS v7.10 or the latest version for compliance.
- Connect WAN cable to port 1 and LAN computers to other ports.
- Connect the device to the included adapter.
- Set LAN computer IP configuration to automatic (DHCP).
- If IP is not available, use WinBox to connect through MAC address.
- Open https://192.168.88.1 in your browser for configuration.
- Click the “Check_for_updates” button and update RouterOS software.
- For CRS and CCR models, manually update by downloading packages from MikroTik’s website.
- Upload packages using WebFig or WinBox in the Files menu.
- Reboot the device and set up a secure password.

First steps:
- Make sure your ISP will accept hardware change and will issue an IP address.
- Connect your WAN cable to port 1, and LAN computers to the rest ports.
- Connect the device to the included adapter.
- Set LAN computer IP configuration to automatic (DHCP).
- In case the IP is not available, use the (WinBox) configuration tool to connect through MAC address.
- Open https://192.168.88.1 in your web browser to start configuration, there is no password by default, you will be logged in automatically.
- Click the (Check_for_updates) button and update your RouterOS software to the latest version. The device needs to have an active Internet connection.
- For CRS and CCR manually update the device, go to our download page https://mikrotik.com/download
- Choose your architecture based on your device model under the menu (System/Resources) and download the latest packages from a stable channel to your PC.
- Open (WebFig) or (WinBox) and upload packages in the (Files) menu.
- Reboot the device.
- Set up your password to secure the device.
