NVS DV-2030BT Car Multimedia System Instruction Manual

Basic Functions

This product uses HD digital touch screen and high quality audio processing chip to provide fine images and perfect audio and video effects. Efficient multimedia system operating platform, USB/SD playback and smart steering wheel control combine with the automobile perfectly, making it your ideal choice.

Precautions

To avoid accidents, please read the following notice carefully before mounting and operating this unit:

  1. About safety
  2. Please abide by local traffic rules and regulations.
  3. Do not watch or operate the unit while driving, or else it will cause distraction.
  4. To watch or operate the unit, first park the car in a safe place.
  5. About mounting
  6. Ask qualified technical or maintenance personnel to install the unit.
  7. To mount the unit by yourself, follow the mounting and connection instructions in the manual.
  8. It is recommended to use the provided screws. If you would like to use the screws of the automobile, ensure that the screw length doesn’t exceed 6mm, or else it will damage the unit.
  9. If the automobile is parked in direct sunlight, let the unit cool down before operation. Before turning on, make sure that the temperature in the automobile is between -20°C and 60°C.
  10. Do not use the unit in an environment with strong magnetic field.
  11. In rainy weather or wet areas, moisture condenses in the unit, and the unit can’t work properly. In this case, dehumidify or wait for the moisture to volatilize.
  12. To ensure high quality audio and video effect, do not splash juice or any other liquids on the unit or discs.
  13. The disc port must be clean; wipe away dust with soft cloth; Dusty discs must be cleaned with soft cloth before inserting into the disc slot, or else the dust will be brought into the unit and affect playback. Please ask qualified personnel to disassemble and clear the dust.
  14. Extended playback and high volume will shorten the service life of the unit; to extend the life of the unit, please adjust the volume to appropriate level.
  15. Do not alter the unit without permission, or else it may cause accidents.
  16. Playing a disc while driving on a bumpy road and playing non-standard or seriously damaged disc will damage the optical head.

  1. PWR/VOL/MUTE

  2. In power-off state, press the knob to turn the device on, and in power-on state, hold the knob to turn it off.

  3. In power-on state, rotate the knob clockwise too increase volume and rotate the knob counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

  4. Mute: In power-on status, press MUT key to mute the sound, press MUT key again to resume the sound.

  5. MENU
    In any state, press this button to switch between main interface and the mode interface at work

  6. Remote receiving window

  7. MIC

  8. TF card port

  9. USB play interface

  10. AUX (externally connected to audio play interface)

  11. RES
    In case messy codes or other abnormalities occur (such as the button does not work), press this button with a needle or similar object with diameter of 0.5mm, and the device will resume to its default setting automatically.

  12. (Withdraw button)
    Press this button can pop-up the disc.

  1. Main menu
    The main menu includes time display, radio, DVD, USB, TF, AUX, mirror link, time setting, general setting, sound effect setting, Bluetooth, steering wheel control, multimedia setting, light setting, factory setting and background setting.

  2. Click to enter general settings interface, and adjust settings such as language, front-facing camera, back-facing camera, headlight setting and brake setting.

  3. Screen backlight icon allows one to switch between day time and night time modes.

Description of Radio Function

  1. Press this button to automatically scan and save available radio channels.
  2. Press this button to switch the wave band among FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1 and AM2.
  3. Press this button to tune to high frequency; press and hold this button to scan radio channels.
  4. Press this button to tune to low frequency; press and hold this button to scan radio channels.
  5. Local/distant switch: Press this button to switch to local and the screen shows LOC; press it again to switch to distant and LOC disappears.
  6. Stereo/Mono switch: Press this button to switch to stereo signal and the screen shows ST; press it again to switch to mono channel and the screen shows MONO.

Please note:
Each mode allows you to save six radio channels. Tap a saved channel to listen to the channel. To edit or set the radio frequency, operate as follows:

  1. Scan and select desired radio frequency;
  2. Select a cell, press and hold it for three seconds, and the desired radio frequency will be stored and displayed in the cell.

Description of DVD Playback

  1. Basic playback
    Insert a disc and the playback starts automatically. If the unit already has a disc inserted, do not insert another disc.
    When the unit has a disc inserted, press the knob to switch to DVD playback mode and the A/V programs on disc or SD/USB will be played automatically.

  2. Eject button
    To eject the disc in reading state, press the button; if the disc isn’t taken out in ten seconds, the unit will automatically close the disc slot but won’t play automatically.

  3. Go-to/back/fast forward/fast reverse button
    Press the or button to go to previous or next chapter; drag the dot on the progress bar to fast forward or reverse and go to desired section quickly.

  4. MP3 selection/playback
    During MP3 playback, press the or button to switch to previous or next track.

USB and TF Playback

When a USB or TF card is connected, click the USB or TF icon, or press the Mode button and connect the USB or TF card immediately to automatically play.

Mirror Link Function for Android

Connect your mobile device to your vehicle’s USB port using a USB Cable. Once the connection is successful, you will be prompted to install the App “AUTO LINK”. Once this App is installed, press the Mirror link icon on the device. The phone page will appear.

Description of Bluetooth Functions

  1. Turn Bluetooth on on the unit and your mobile phone.

  2. Click “Pair/Connect” button on the unit and scan the Bluetooth devices with your mobile phone.

  3. Select and connect to “CAR KIT” on your mobile phone and enter the PIN code (0000).
    Once connected successfully, you will be able to see the phone model number under “Connected” on the unit.
    Please note:

    • If Auto Answer is selected, incoming calls will be answered automatically.
      This option is disabled by default.

    • You can modify the name and PIN code of the Bluetooth device as needed.

    • Since there are numerous mobile phone brands, the unit cannot be compatible with all mobile phones.

  4. Once connected, you can play music from your mobile phone through the unit and perform operations such as stop, previous, pause/resume and next on the master unit.

Mounting Instructions

  1. This product is only suitable for automobiles with 12V power system. Do not mount it on trucks or buses with 24V power supply, or else it will damage internal parts.
  2. The subwoofer and auto-antenna of the unit are powered separately.
  3. Connect according to the wiring diagram. If connected improperly, it will cause unit failure or damage to the electrical system of the automobile.
    The speaker wires must be connected to the speaker terminals; do not connect to the automobile body or to each other.
