Introduction
Thank you for choosing to purchase this quality product. To minimise the risk
of injury, we ask you to always take some basic safety precautions when using
this product. Please read this operating manual carefully and make sure that
you understand it.
Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.
Before using the reel
- This product has been packed to arrive in the best possible condition. Please be careful when unpacking it.
- Before assembly, read the user’s manual.
- This kit contains pieces that could be damaged when assembled incorrectly. Please obey the instructions concerning the correct assembly.

Tools needed
- Cross-head screwdriver
- Sealing tape (optional, not included)
Mounting
Carefully take all pieces out of the box.
Step 1: mounting the hose guiding system
- Determine the hose-guiding-system piece.
- Set the hose-guiding-system piece into the tubes (see figure).
Step 2: mounting the hand crank and water-system inlet
- Set the hand crank to the axle.
- Fix it with the help of the screw included in the scope of delivery.
- Install the water-system inlet. Push down the locking lever and set the water-system inlet in, giving it the alignment desired.
- Make sure that the inlet tube is pushed in totally before closing the locking lever.
- Then remove the guide hose from the drum.
- Set one end of the guide hose into the water inlet and tighten the threaded coupling by hand.
Step 3: connecting adaptor to water system
- Take the adaptor piece out.
- Install the adaptor to the water system (see illustration).
Step 4: connect hose with reel
- Set the adaptor to the inlet and outlet water system.
- Attach the C clamp to the ends of the hose connected to the inlet/outlet water system.
- Guide the hose into the inlet/outlet water system, making sure that it penetrates deeply.
Use
- Extract the hose to the desired length.
- Open the water supply by opening the water tap.
- Use the hose for watering.
- Before reeling the hose up, return to the device, holding the nozzle, then turn off the water, and press the nozzle for a few seconds to release the pressure built up inside the hose.
- Reel up the hose. It might be helpful to hold the device with one foot while using the hand crank.
Maintenance and care
Annual lubrification of seals
To avoid leakage and to extend the service life of the seals of the water
inlet, these should be lubricated once a year (see Fig. 1).
- Turn off the water supply to the device by closing the tap.
- Let the locking lever loose (see Fig. 2).
- Pull the inlet tube off the axle.
Storage
- Turn off the water when not using the hose reel.
- Store the device indoors when it is not in use.
- To avoid damage from expanding ice, always unplug and drain all hoses during the winter months to prevent freezing.
- Clean the hose with mild soap and water only.
