Avoid contact with moving parts. Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms. Do not override any safety controls.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged Battery, adapter or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest Authorized Service Facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

The use of attachments/accessories not recommended or sold by KitchenAid may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to a person, or damage to the appliance. A scraper may be used, but only when the appliance is not running.

Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on the Base without first putting the Bowl properly in place.

Be certain the cover is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.

Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.

Use only with the adapter provided with the appliance. Do not attempt to use this adapter with any other product. Likewise, do not attempt to charge this appliance with any other adapter.

Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely damaged. The Battery can explode in a fire.

Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Disconnect the Battery from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the appliance. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the appliance accidentally.

Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off-position before connecting to the Battery, picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch or energizing an appliance that has the switch ON invites accidents. -
Recharge only with the adapter specified by KitchenAid. An adapter that is suitable for one type of Battery may create a risk of fire when used with another Battery.

Use appliances only with KitchenAid 12 V Battery. Use of any other Battery may create a risk of injury and fire.

When Battery is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the Battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the Battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts the eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the Battery may cause irritation or burns.

Do not use a Battery or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.

Do not expose a Battery or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F may cause an explosion.

Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the Battery or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the Battery and increase the risk of fire.

Use only the UL-listed ITE/Class 2 USB source to charge this device. Use of any non-UL-listed USB sources may create a risk of fire.

Never service damaged Battery. Service of Battery should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.

Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

- If the USB Adapter does not fit fully in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the USB Adapter in any way.

LITHIUM-ION BATTERY OPERATED PRODUCT DISPOSAL
Always dispose of battery-operated products according to federal, state, and
local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your area for recycling
locations.
GETTING STARTED
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Charge the Battery until it is fully charged.
- Clean all the parts (see “Care and Cleaning” section).
- Remove all packaging materials, if present.
NOTE:
Some dust may be on the product. This is due to the recycled materials used in
packaging. This can be cleaned with a soft towel.
BATTERY CHARGING
USING THE USB CABLE
- Attach the USB Cable to the adapter. Connect the other end of the USB Cable to the Battery.
- Plug the adapter into a power source.
USING THE DOCKING STATION
USING THE DOCKING STATION (OPTIONAL)
- Attach the USB cord to the adapter.
- Plug the adapter into a power source.
- Turn the Battery upside down and slide the Battery onto the dock. Press down and the latch will snap into place.
- Upon initially plugging the Battery into the charger, the Battery LEDs will alternate for a few seconds as it performs a self-diagnostic of the Battery status.
- After the diagnostic is complete, the Battery will begin charging with a single LED flashing. LEDs will become solid in colour as charging progresses. When Battery is fully charged, all LEDs will become solid and remain ON for 1 hour.
NOTE:
If the initial alternating light pattern continues for more than 10 seconds,
the Battery may be too warm or too cold to charge. Unplug the Battery allow it
to stabilize to a normal room temperature and try charging again. If the
Battery still does not charge after this, unplug the Battery and contact
customer service.
BATTERY STATUS
NOTE: LED Legend Indication:
- = ON
- = OFF
- = FLASH
NOTE:
- When the Battery is installed or when the appliance is operated, the Battery charge status LEDs will display for 5 seconds and then turn off. If the Battery charge is 10% or less, the indication light will continue to flash until the unit is no longer in use or the Battery is removed.
- It is best to store your appliance at room temperature.
PRODUCT USAGE
IMPORTANT:
Make sure the Battery is fully charged before using.

Insert the Battery into the Battery slot located at the back of the appliance, making sure it is aligned. The LED will glow and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.

With the Handle facing the front of the Base, place the Bowl into the slots on the Base.
-
Rotate and lower the Drive Adapter and then Multipurpose Blade or optional Whisking Accessory in the centre of the Bowl until it rests at the bottom.

Add ingredients to the Bowl. Place the Lid on the Bowl. Twist and lock it into place. The Lid will click when properly locked into place.
- Recommended volume: Raw meat (0.7 lb), parmesan cheese (0.25 lb), baking chocolate (0.22 lb).
- NOTE: The Cordless Food Chopper will operate with either the Multipurpose Blade or the Whisking Accessory in place, not both. Do not try to use both at the same time.

Press and hold the button downward (Speed 1 or 2) to start. The LED will light and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.
IMPORTANT: The Bowl and Lid must be locked into place for the Cordless Food Chopper to operate. -
Slowly pour liquids, such as oil, in the Drizzle Basin. The liquid will be efficiently and thoroughly mixed into the ingredients as they spin inside the Bowl. Use the Drizzle Basin to conveniently add liquid ingredients while processing dressings, mayonnaises, sauces, and more. Use the Pour Spout for easier serving.

Release the button (Speed 1 or 2) to stop chopping.
IMPORTANT: Do not try to remove the Bowl while the motor is still running. -
Once processing is complete, remove the Lid, Drive Adapter, and Multipurpose Blade to use the Pour Spout. NOTE: The LED will light and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.
CARE AND CLEANING
IMPORTANT:
Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning the appliance. Remove the Battery before removing or
attaching parts, or before cleaning.
- Remove the Lid, Multipurpose Blade, and Drive Adapter.
- Dishwasher-safe parts — top rack only: Bowl, Lid, Whisking Accessory, Drive Adapter, and Multipurpose Blade.
- Wipe the Base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the Base or Battery in water.
NOTE:
- Mild dish soap may be used, but do not use abrasive cleaners.
- For convenient storage, always reassemble the Cordless Food Chopper after cleaning.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM | SOLUTION |

If the Cordless Food Chopper fails to start
| Check if the Battery is charged. Charge the Battery when the Battery is
completely drained.
Make sure that the Bowl and Lid are properly aligned and locked into place.
If the Battery is not getting charged| If you have a circuit breaker box,
check to make sure that the circuit is closed.
If the problem cannot be corrected| See the “Warranty and Service” sections.
Do not return the Cordless Food Chopper to the retailer – retailers do not
provide service.
