Installation Procedures

1. If the motor unit is already installed, refer to the Grandioso T1 Owner’s Manual to remove it before proceeding with the arm base kit installation.
2. Install the arm base post on the base unit by following the Arm Base Post Installation Diagram.
3. Attach the arm base post using the provided attachment screws. Ensure proper alignment.
4. Select the installation location (back right, back left, or front left) for the tonearm.
5. Install the arm base by aligning the positioning indentation on the arm base with the pin on the arm base post.

FAQ

• Q: Can I install a 9-inch tonearm at the front left location?
  A: No, 9-inch tonearms cannot be installed at the front left location. They can only be installed at the back right or back left locations.

• Q: What should I do if any package contents are missing or damaged?
  A: Please contact the store where you purchased the product for assistance in case any package contents are missing or damaged during transportation.

Installation procedures

If the motor unit has been installed, follow the procedures beginning on page 19 of the Grandioso T1 Owner’s Manual to remove it before installing the arm base kit.

1. Remove the top of the leg from the base unit.
   At the location where you want to install the tonearm, turn the top of the leg counterclockwise and remove it. oo Tonearms can be installed in three locations: the back right, the back left and the front left.
   ATTENTION
   9-inch arms cannot be installed at the front left.

2. Install the arm base post on the base unit.
   Referring to the “Arm base post installation diagram” on page 6, attach the arm base post with the attachment screws.

3. Install the arm base.
   Align a positioning indentation on the underside of the arm base with the pin on the arm base post when installing it.
   Select the indentation to use according to the tonearm being installed.
   AB-T1GL1 (for rear post-installation)
   AB-T1GL2 (for front post-installation)
   When placed correctly, the tops of the arm base and the arm base post should be almost the same height. If there is a large height difference between the arm base and the arm base post, the positioning indentation and the pin might not be aligned. Try installing the arm base again

4. Fix the arm base in place.
   Tighten the arm base attachment thumbscrew to fix it in place.

5. After fixing it in place, confirm that there is no looseness in the arm base

6. Attach the tonearm to the arm base.
   Refer to the tonearm owner’s manual for installation procedures.
   When attaching an MH-9B/9Bt/10B/10Bt, insert the adapter included with this kit into the hole in the arm base from below before installing the tonearm

7. Install the motor unit.
   Following the instructions starting with procedure 10 on page 16 of the Grandioso T1 Owner’s Manual, install the motor unit.
