Product Overview
1.1 foreword
Thank you for purchasing this EMF detector. It is a precision hand-held
electronic instrument with built-in electromagnetic radiation sensors. The
signals received by the sensors are processed by integrated circuits and
displayed in digital form on the screen.
Users can reasonably process or effectively avoid electromagnetic radiation
based on the detection results. In order to exert the best function of the
instrument, please read this manual carefully before using It.
1.2 Application Scenario
This instrument can detect electromagnetic radiation conditions in the
living environment, and plays an important role in reasonable processing or
effective avoidance of electromagnetic radiation. It can be applied to the
following scenarios:
- Used for measuring EMF in living environments such as living rooms, offices, computer rooms, power distribution rooms, and emission towers, such as testing the intensity of electromagnetic radiation in frequently active areas such as sofas, restaurants, bedrooms, and desks. If the radiation exceeds the standard, use an instrument to identify the radiation source and move it to a safe location; Test the electromagnetic radiation intensity of the base station on the roof of the community.
- Used for functional testing of EMF protection products, such as testing whether the electromagnetic protective clothing and computer radiation screen shield electromagnetic radiation functions are qualified; Monitoring of radio frequency signals in confidential rooms or shielded machine rooms.
- Used for testing various radio frequency electromagnetic radiation, such as testing the electromagnetic radiation of wireless communication equipment such as mobile phones, radios, routers, microwave ovens, and radio frequency transmitting equipment; Demonstrate the relative strength of various electromagnetic wave radiation sources.

Instrument use
3.1 Power On/Off
In the power off state, short press the “ ” key to turn on
In the power on state, short press the “ ” key to turn off
3.2 Electric field radiation detection
After power on, the instrument automatically enters the detection state,
and slowly moves the head of the instrument closer to the measured object. The
closer it is to the measured object, the greater the electric field radiation
intensity. When the electric field radiation value displayed on the screen is
greater than 80V/m, The red indicator lights up, the radiation evaluation icon
displays “ “, and the buzzer sounds “beep…”, it indicates that the electric
field radiation here exceeds the standard.
3.3 Magnetic field radiation detection
After power on, the instrument automatically enters the detection state,
and slowly moves the head of the instrument closer to the measured object. The
closer it is to the measured object, the greater the magnetic field radiation
intensity. When the magnetic field radiation value displayed on the screen is
greater than 8mG or 0. 8uT, The red indicator lights up, the radiation
evaluation icon displays “ “, and the buzzer sounds “beep…”, itindicates that
the magnetic field radiation here exceeds the standard.
3.4 Radio frequency(RF) radiation detection
After power on, the instrument automatically enters the detection state, and
slowly moves the head of the instrument closer to the measured object. The
closer it is to the measured object, the greater the RF radiation
intensity. When the RF radiation value displayed on the screen is greater than
10mW/m², The red indicator lights up, the radiation evaluation icon displays “
” and the buzzer sounds “beep…”, it indicates that the magnetic field
radiation here exceeds the standard.
NOTE:
In the three radiation assessments of EF, MF, and RF, as long as one of the
radiation assessments reaches “ “, the instrument will illuminate a yellow
indicator light, and the buzzer will emit an alarm sound; Similarly, as long
as one radiation assessment reaches “ “, the instrument will illuminate a red
indicator light anda buzzer will sound an alarm.
3.5 Replace the battery
When the battery icon on the display shows low “ ” please replace the
battery immediately.
3.6 Switch Units
The magnetic field radiation intensity of this instrument has two units: mG
and uT, the user can switch according to their needs, please set it according
to this method: short press the “ ” key to observe the unit change on the
display.
3.7 Cancel automatic power off
This instrument will automatic power off by default, if you need to cancel,
set it according to this method: press and hold the “ ” key, until the icon
“APO” on the screen disappears.
3.8 Switch MAX mode
The instrument defaults to real-time measurement mode every time it is
turned on, if you need to switch the MAX mode, please press and hold the “ ”
key until the icon “MAX” appears on the screen and release the button.
3.9 Additional Notes
- The microwave signal has high frequency, short wavelength, poor penetration ability and strong reflection ability. For example, when detecting the radiation of mobile phone base stations, there is a big difference between outdoor and indoor with walls; If there is a metal object near the detection point, the microwave will likely have the effect of enhanced reflection, so make sure that there is no metal or other conductor near the detection point to avoid incorrect detection results.
- Washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, rice cookers, computer hosts, and other electrical appliances that have a metal shell and do not generate strong electric field radiation in the circuit will be well shielded and eliminated when the grounding wire of the power socket is good. If such appliances detect large electric field radiation, users need to carefully check whether the power socket is well grounded. “Another type of household appliances, such as microwave ovens, induction cookers, energy-saving lamps, old-fashioned television displays, humidifiers, negative ion air purifiers, and laser printers, have relatively large electric field radiation even if they are connected toa ground wire. This is because there are electronic circuits that generate high voltage and strong electric fields inside such appliances, and grounding shielding cannot completely eliminate the effect. Therefore, reasonable precautions should be taken to avoid such appliances.”
- Most radiocommunication related devices emit high- frequency signals, such as mobile phones, walkie- talkies, wireless telephones, radio and television towers, and wireless network devices. This type of device typically transmits signals intermittently or the power level of the transmitted signal varies. For example, when the phone is in standby mode, it only receives signals; The transmission power of the mobile phone base station will automatically adjust according to network load, weather conditions, etc. There is alsoa class of wireless communication devices that do not transmit but only receive signals, such as satellite television ground receiving antennas, which do not emit radiation. Users should first understand the relevant working conditions of the radiation source to avoid confusion about the detection results.
- Itis necessary to hold the instrument for testing, as the detection value of the instrument is based on the handheld calibration condition. After approaching the test object, stabilize the position and do not move quickly, because the instrument requires reaction time.
- The detection sensor of the instrument is located at the front of the housing and has a high detection sensitivity. During detection, you should hold the back of the instrument (below the screen and buttons) by hand. Do not shield or touch the front end of the instrument and the display screen with your hands or other conductors to avoid introducing interference from the induced electric field caused by the human body or conductors.
