About your iTouchless@ Sensor Trash Can

The 18 and 23 Gallon Round Stainless Steel SensorTrash Can helps create a germ-free, odor-free, automated environment. Its large capacity and touch- free, sensor-operated lid allows it to easily accommodate lots of trash. It uses patented, invisible, harmless, infrared technology. As your hand or debris approaches the can (about 6 inches/10 cm away) the infrared sensor on the lid automatically opens the lid. After your hand is withdrawn the lid will close automatically after 6 seconds. Lid will remain open if debris or hand is within 6 inches of the infrared sensor zone. The lid also features enhanced technology for gentle, silent open and close, every time. There are two buttons on the front of the lid to open and close the lid manually, as well as on/off switch on the back of the trash can for powering the unit on and off. With the new Reflx™ quick opening technology, during Lid closing, it will instantly open again if objects are detected in Sensor Zone. It also features dual deodorizer compartments, which house the replaceable activated carbon odor filters, for odor-stopping power.
Available in 18 and 23 gallon capacities.

*Four “D” size batteries (not included) can last up to 10,000 usages. An optional AC Adapter is sold separately.

VisioSense™ Indicator Light (LED Light)

1. When there is an object in the Sensor Zone, the LED Indicator Light will remain green and the Lid will remain open until object is removed from the sensor zone.
2. Once item is removed from the Sensor Zone, the LED Indicator Light will flash red to indicate that the lid will close in 6 seconds.
3. If an object is placed back into the Sensor Zone when the LED Indicator Light is flashing red, the light will turn solid green again and the Lid will remain open.

Operating Instructions

a. Remove the lid unit from the trash can. Open battery compartment cover (PICTURE 2) to insert 4 “D” size batteries (not included). Close battery compartment cover.
b. Access the Deodorizer Compartments and insert the Activated Carbon Odor Filters. (see USING THE ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER.)
c. Insert one correct size (18 gallon to 23 gallon) trash bag through Smart Retainer Ring
(PICTURE 3). See HOW TO USE THE TRASH BAG RETAINER RING. Video instructions at www.itouchless.com/reta i ner ring video.
d. Place the lid unit onto the can body and make sure it is securely attached.
e. Turn the power switch on the back of the Lid Unit (PICTURE 4) to “On” position. A red Indicator Light will turn on for 3 seconds. It will flash once every 3 seconds to show that the system is on and ready to use.
f. Place your hand or any object within 6 inches of the Infrared Sensor on the front of Lid Unit to open lid. When it detects something in the Sensor Zone, VisioSense™ Indicator light will appear solid green and lid will remain open. When VisioSense does not detect anything in the Sensor Zone, the light will blink red rapidly to indicate that the lid will close in 5 seconds.
g. If you press the open button, the lid will open, and remain open for 5 minutes before closing automatically- unless you press the close button manually. The trash can will then resume automatic mode.

How to Use the Activated Carbon Filter and Fragrance Cartridge

The Touch less Trash Can is equipped with a Deodorizer Compartment that houses the odor-stopping Activated Carbon Filter to eliminate trash odors up to 90%. Two (2) replaceable Activated Carbon Odor Filters are pre-installed inside the Deodorizer Compartments. Please follow these instructions to maximize the odor filter power.

1. Remove and turn lid unit upside down (Fig. 1) to locate Deodorizer Compartment.

2. Push Deodorizer Compartment (Fig. 2) toward the outer edge of Lid Unit to remove Filter Compartment.

3. Remove Activated Carbon Odor Filter from Deodorizer Compartment.

4. Tear open and throw away the clear plastic bag covering the Activated Carbon Odor Filter pouch (Do NOT cut open the filter pouch).

5. Insert the Activated Carbon Odor Filter pouch (Fig. 3) into Deodorizer Compartment
   (make sure the pouch is completely inside Deodorizer Compartment).

6. Return the Deodorizer Compartment to Lid Unit. Pull Deodorizer Compartment toward the inner edge of Lid Unit to lock the Deodorizer Compartment. There should be 2 clicks to ensure the installation is secured.

How To Use The Smart Retainer Ring

Tips

• Replace Activated Carbon Filter every 3 months or when odor becomes too strong.
• If the carbon filter mount is too tight, unscrew to loosen it. WARNING: Be sure to property fasten both the carbon filter compartment and mount.
• Order the most updated version of Activated Carbon Filters on line at www.iTouchless.com
• Filter Compartment can be washed if it gets dirty.
• Used Activated Carbon Filter pouch should be disposed of in a trash can.

General Trouble- shooting Steps

1. Turn the power switch to “Off” mode, remove battery or unplug AC power adapter, then rub and wipe clean the sensor area with a soft damp cloth and dry it immediately with a soft dry cloth. Re-insert batteries or plug in AC adapter (DO NOT USE battery and AC adapter at the same time).
2. Place trash can in an open area where nothing is blocking or within 10 inches of the sensor eye. Make sure no sunlight or spotlight shines on the sensor. Turn on the power and try opening lid again.
3. If trash can is still not working correctly, remove the batteries or unplug AC adapter. Let trash can sit for at least 2 hours to reset. Try opening lid after reset.

Trouble shooting

Attention

1. Do not submerge the lid in water as it houses the electronic control. You may clean it with a lightly dampened cloth.
2. Clean the trash can body only with products safe for use on stainless steel.
3. Do not press or force the Lid Cover to close. Lid will close automatically after your hand is removed from the sensor zone.
4. Replace batteries immediately when the indication light turns to yellow/amber. This will ensure the lid continues to operate properly.
5. Avoid direct sunlight on the infrared sensor.
6. Ensure there is enough room to operate the trash can without blocking the opening and closing of the lid.
7. Do not use a power adaptor that is not authorized by iTouchless; it may result in fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use power adaptor and battery at the same time to operate the trash can. It can only be powered by one source at a time.
9. Do not overstuff trash bag. It may cause tearing or difficulty removing.
10. Automatic parts may not be suitable for small children or pets.

18 and 23 Gallon Round Stainless Steel Sensor Trash Can with Dual Deodorizers is distributed by iTouchless Housewares & Products, Inc. (iTouchless) with the highest quality components and most advanced technologies available. The trash can is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship, given normal use and care, for 365 days from the date of the original purchase with proof of purchase within the United States and Canada. iTouchless will only honor warranty requests from orders placed with our authorized dealers. Items sold as used, floor sample or refinished are sold solely under the terms and conditions of the selling party; iTouchless will not warrant such purchase. iTouchless will repair or replace a working condition Lid Cover thereof which fails as the result of such a defect during the warranty period.

The warranty is the customers’ exclusive remedy for product defect and does not apply to:

• User modification
• Attachments to product by user that causes damage
• Any product, on which the seals and/or serial numbers have been broken, removed, tampered with, defaced or altered in any manner
• Damage caused by abuse, misuse, accident, water or theft

Except as stated above, iTouchless makes no express or implied warranties as to any product, in particular, makes no warranty of merchantability or of fitness for any particular purpose. iTouchless shall not be liable for consequential or incidental damages arising from any product defect. Our Liability is limited to the replacement of any defective product. iTouchless expressly disclaims all warranties not satisfied in this limited warranty. Any implied warranties that may be imposed by law are limited to the terms of this limited warranty. The Can Body, Activated Carbon Odor Filter, Retainer Ring, Deodorizer Compartment, and Battery Cover are not covered by this warranty.
