Superlunar SR-01 Analog Saturation Device
INTRODUCTION
Inspired by the destructive crunch of a legendary “Blackface” amp overdriven, the SR-01 is a fuzz pedal with a two-stage transistor circuit that goes from subtle overdrive to full-blown fuzz. The audio path features large capacitors that let all the low-end through, creating a thick, warm guitar sound. The full-frequency circuit blends a selection of silicon diodes that produce the kind of soft clipping that will make you forget about the germanium kind. SR-01’s full sound is also perfect for bass, synths, and drum machines. Run them through to add saturation, harmonics, compression, and dirt.

FUNCTION BUTTON
G
Controls the gain of the first stage where the soft clipping magic happens.
V
Controls the output level of the pedal. The SR-01 can get very loud so proceed
with caution.
A
Adjusts the input level of the pedal. Fully clockwise is for instrument level.
Fully counter-clockwise is for line level.
C
This controls the bias of the second-stage transistor. Fully counter-clockwise
is the standard setting that gives a smooth distortion and sustain. Turning
the knob clockwise reduces the power going to the transistor creating a gated
“velcro†fuzz sound that’s very synthesizer-like. The lines indicate
sweet spots.
F
Controls first-order low-pass filter. Fully clockwise is open. Turning the
knob counter-clockwise will filter the high frequencies. This is good for
taming the distortion, or if you want to filter drums or synths.
blue button
AKA fuzz mode. When engaged, the gain of the first stage is increased.
white button
This button engages a fixed high-pass filter for cutting out some of the low-
frequencies.
power
SR-01 was designed to use a 9V DC center-negative power supply. The pedal
protects against reversed polarity, but do not use a center-positive power
supply, and never exceed 9V or you risk damaging the unit and voiding the
warranty.
warranty
