Introduction
Overview
Pain is an unpleasant signal telling us that something hurts. Transcutaneous
Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) can aid in reducing or eliminating pain.
TENS is a technique intended to provide pain relief by applying electrodes
with low-voltage electric current to the skin to block impulses in underlying
nerves. Patients can self-administer TENS and titrate dosage as required
because there is no potential for overdose and there are few side effects or
drug interactions. Effects are generally rapid in onset and offset, so
patients are encouraged to use as and when needed. TENS is used daily and
clinically proven by physiotherapists, caregivers and top athletes around the
world. The TENS device provides safe and effective stimulation. The device’s
discreet and portable design allows for pain relief on the go.
Intended Use
The TENS device is a transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator intended for
symptomatic relief of chronic intractable pain and the temporary relief of
pain associated with sore and aching muscles in the arm, shoulder, neck, back,
waist, abdomen, and leg due to strain from exercise or normal household and
work activities.
Getting to Know the Product
Unlike other Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) devices, the
TENS device is simple to use and designed especially for fast pain relief. The
TENS device uses exclusive waveform technology incorporating the longest pulse
duration in its class, and delivers current into deeper regions for fast pain
relief. With an option for as many as 6 therapy modes to choose from, the TENS
device provides unmatched flexibility to manage your pain. Additionally, the
usage of patented LTE technology makes the TENS device the most intelligent
power and safe TENS technology out there. The TENS electrode pad’s butterfly
shape allows for simple, flexible and comfortable positioning of the
electrodes on the body. When operating the TENS Therapy device users control
the TENS device directly on the TENS device.
