Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard, this product will, if used according to these instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

SAFETY
Ensure all workshop safety rules, regulations, and conditions are complied
with when using the torque wrench.
Maintain the wrench in good condition and replace any damaged or worn parts.
Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will
invalidate the warranty.
The wrench is a precision tool, handle with care.
Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and
wear non-slip shoes.
If it is suspect that the wrench is damaged or faulty, have it checked by
Sealey or one of our Service Agents.
DO NOT use wrench unless you have been instructed in its use by a qualified
person.
DO NOT use any cleaner which might affect the high pressure grease with which
the wrench is packed.
DO NOT use torque wrench as a lever bar.
Use of damaged hand tools, sockets, extensions and accessories may result in
injury.
DO NOT use torque wrench as a hammer.
Torque wrenches not in calibration may cause damage to parts or tools.
DO NOT use extensions on handle as damage to torque wrench will result and
will invalidate the Warranty.
Over tightening of fasteners may result in breakage.
Handle is not insulated, do not use on live electrical or high voltage
circuits.
INSTRUCTIONS
Range 300-1000Nm (200-750 lbf.ft). Scales graduated in both lb.ft and Nm giving accurate results to ±4%. Calibration tolerance in accordance with BS EN ISO 6789:2017. Every wrench is tested and supplied with an individually numbered test certificate. Breakback design significantly reduces the risk of over torquing. Ratchet head features push-through drive to allow torquing either clockwise or anti-clockwise. Comfortable soft grip handle. Supplied with additional tool to drive the external nut at base of grip clockwise/anti- clockwise for easy torque adjustment/setting. Supplied in storage case.

ASSEMBLY
Push in Pin locator (Fig1.1) and push bar (Fig1.2) into ratchet head (Fig1.3) making sure that the pin clicks into place. The assembled bar will look as in (fig2).
OPERATION
5.1. Hold the torque wrench in your left hand (if right handed) so that the
required scale on the shaft, just above the hand grip – is uppermost and
visible.(Fig.3).
5.2. Turn the lock handle provided, at the end of the grip (Fig.4) Use either
nm or lbf.ft scales and set to the required torque then remove handle.
5.3. When tightening the nut/bolt, press down smoothly, you will
see the handle ‘break’ meaning that the torque point has been reached (there
is no audible ‘click’ sound). STOP pressing down. DO NOT force the wrench to
avoid over-tightening the nut/bolt. The wrench will reset ready for the next
application.
5.4. After use adjust to lowest torque setting (but not below), clean and
store in a safe, dry, childproof location.
NOTE : If the Torque Wrench has not been used for a period of time,
operate a few times, ideally at the maximum setting. This can also be
completed at target torque, to ensure all internal parts are coated with
grease.
RECALIBRATION
6.1. The default calibration period of 12 months (or 5000 cycles which ever
occurs first) starts after the first use of the torque tool (BS EN ISO 6789-1
refers).
6.2. Calibration should be checked periodically, depending on use and after
any impact or other misuse. Also the interval between tests shall be chosen on
the basis such as: maximum permissible deviation, frequency of use, typical
load during operation as well as ambient conditions during operation and
storage.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and
disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the
productbecomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any
fluids (if applicable) into approved containers anddispose of the product and
fluids according to local regulations.
