INSTRUCTIONS
Wi-Fi Commander Watch
Wifi Commander is a powerful tool that allows you to explore and manage any WiFi network. This device is powered by underlying technology developed by Spacehuhn Technologies who are acknowledged as leaders in this product catagory.
Please ensure that your WiFi Commander is fully charged using the USB cable
provided.
Typically a full charge should take around 2 hours from empty.
After the loading screen, the Main Menu list the various options. By using the
SCAN command you can scan for 2.4gHz wifi access points and stations within
range.
You can choose to scan for Access points and Stations or just Access Points or
Stations. A ‘Station’ refers to the devices of individual users on the Access
point. This could be a Smartphone, a laptop, a gaming console, a smart TV etc.
As the Commander scans a screen will show results as they progress. When the
scan has completed, press the watch button to return to the main menu using
the ‘Back’ option.
From the Main Menu Choose ‘Select’ A list of Access Points and/or Stations
from the previous scan is dislayed. Now move the cursor to Highlight an
individual device or use the Select all command to include all devices.
After the selection, use ‘Back’ to return to the main menu.
To manage or deny access to the selected access point or Station, select the
Deny Access option. To deny access choose ‘Deauth’ from the menu . This
selection will instruct the access point to de-authorise access to all or just
individual Stations. Now move the cursor to the ‘Start’ option to commence the
de-authorisation period. To stop the Deauth process, move the cursor to select
‘Stop.
IMPORTANT NOTE.
Because Deauthorisation effectively disables Stations (users) and/or entire
WiFi networks it should only be used on networks where you have the authority
to do so.
Since WiFi Commander does not require a WiFi password to enable
Deauthorisation or similar processes, it is important to check that the
network you are targeting is your own before continuing.
From the Main Menu, choose ‘Packet Monitor’ to view the current level of Wifi
activity. A Real Time display of activity identified by Channel and Packet
Count. A Deauthorisation launched by others could represent a threat to your
own network.
Select ‘Detector’ from the main menu to monitor for any Deauthorisation
packets in range. A progress screen will show the Detector analyising the data
for Deauth packets. Screen to indicate if Deauth packets are detected . In
order to maximise battery life, your WiFi Commander will automatically go into
a low power Sleep mode after a period of inactivity. From the main Menu choose
the ‘Sleep’ option. Now move the cursor to the desired delay before entering
sleep mode. Now go ‘Back’ to the main menu.
As an alternative to Sleep mode, you can select ‘Standby’ from the Main menu.
From this screen you can schedule a delay period after which WiFi Commander
will enter ‘Standby’ mode. Now go ‘Back’ to the main menu.
Navigation.
As you can see, it is easy to navigate the menu system. Using ‘Back’ will exit
the current screen with any settings made. Returning to the main menu is
simply a series of ‘Back’ commands as required.
This guide is designed to give an overview of the powerful functions that are
available in this easy to use format and our support extends to these
features.
However, the underlying technology developed by Spacehuhn
Technology has many more features that can be accessed via a built in web
server.
If you have an interest at this lower level then you can can use your web
browser to connect.
On your wifi network select ‘Ping’ as the access point. Enter the IP address
192.168.4.1 in your browser to acess the home page.
Note. These additional features are available to those interested in the lower level functions of wireless communications and we are not able to give any technical support. There is however, a vast amount of community support in this area.
