Health hazard

• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• This product contains small parts. The packaging includes plastic bags. Keep it away from children.

Strangulation hazard

• Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product.
• To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children. Cords may become wrapped around a child’s neck.
• Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords.
• Do not tie cords together. Ensure that cords do not twist and create a loop.

• Blinds must be installed in such a way that a loose cord or chain cannot form a loop 220 mm or longer. The cords or chains must be at a height above floor level of at least 1500 mm (1600 mm for Australia).

Risk of injury

• The product must be installed by a technician or a competent person using suitable fastening material (for example, screws, wall plugs). This makes it possible to avoid injury due to improper installation.
• For larger blinds install the product with two persons.
• Take reasonable precaution when installing the blind and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Only for boats and yachts: If the blind is fitted in front of an open window, then the blind should be stowed when driving at more than 10 knots or with a sea state of more than moderate, because this can damage the blind. Parts that come loose may injure people in the vicinity.
