PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
WARNING: DO NOT COVER THE HEATER. WARNING: TO AVOID THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, FIRE OR INJURY TO PEOPLE, ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE HEATER IS UNPLUGGED FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE RELOCATING, SERVICING, OR CLEANING IT.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS HEATER IN SMALL ROOMS WHEN THEY ARE OCCUPIED BY PERSONS NOT CAPABLE OF LEAVING THE ROOM ON THEIR OWN, UNLESS CONSTANT SUPERVISION IS PROVIDED.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, KEEP TEXTILES, CURTAINS, OR ANY OTHER FLAMMABLE MATERIAL A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 1M FROM THE AIR OUTLET.
CAUTION: THE HEATER WILL BECOME VERY HOT DURING USE AND CAN CAUSE BURNS. DO NOT TOUCH HEATED PARTS OF THE HEATER WITH BARE SKIN DURING USE OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE HEATER HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF. ALLOW THE HEATER TO THOROUGHLY COOL DOWN BEFORE HANDLING OR CLEANING. USE HANDLE WHEN MOVING THE UNIT.
USE GLOVES OR OVEN MITTS TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY.

  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to person.

  • There may be trace of odour during the first few minutes of initial use. This is normal and will quickly disappear.

  • The heater is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

  • The heater must have a minimum 50cm clearance around all sides of the heater.

  • Only operate the heater in an upright position with both foot bases attached.

  • Children must be supervised not to play with the appliance.

  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  • Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the heater is in use.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless continuously supervised.

  • Place the heater on a flat, stable, heatresistant surface and always keep the heater in an upright position. Operating the heater in any other position could cause a hazard.

  • Do not cover, obstruct or push objects into the vents and opening of the heater as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the heater.

  • Do not use this heater to dry or heat clothes.

  • Ensure the heater is not located immediately below a socket-outlet.

  • Never place anything on top of the heater.

  • Do not operate the heater with wet hands.

  • Do not use this heater near water or in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or a swimming pool. Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

  • Do not allow water or other liquids to run into the interior of the heater, as this could create a fire and/or electrical hazard.

  • This heater is intended for indoor household use and similar applications.
    Do not use outdoors.

  • Never leave the heater unattended while in use. Always turn the heater off and disconnected from the power supply when not in use.

  • Do not use the heater while sleeping or place it near a person who is sleeping.

  • Always turn the heater OFF, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and allow the heater to completely cool down before handling or cleaning it.

  • Avoid placing the power cord in areas where it can become a tripping hazard.
    Do not place the power cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs, runners or similar.

  • To avoid a circuit overload when using this heater, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same electrical circuit.

  • Always plug the heater directly into a wall socket. Avoid using extension leads where possible as they may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

  • Do not use this heater with an external programmer, timer switch or any other device which would switch the heater on automatically unless this has already been pre-built into the heater by the manufacturer.

  • Do not pull on the power cord. Never move, carry, or hang the heater by the power cord.

  • Do not kink or wrap the power cord and plug around the heater, as this may cause the insulation to weaken or split, particularly where it enters the appliance.

  • Ensure the mains cable is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with any part of the heater.

  • The heater should not be used in a room, of which the floor area is less than 5m².

  • Only use this appliance in a wellventilated area

  • Do not operate the heater with any safety guards removed.

  • Do not operate the heater if there are signs of damage to the heater, power cord, or any of the accessories supplied.
    If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  • Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical elements in the heater. Doing so may be unsafe and will void your warranty.

  • Ensure that the mains supply (including voltage, frequency and power) complies with the rating label of the heater.

  • Do not use the heater near petrol, paints, flammable gases, ovens, or other heating sources.

  • Do not use this heater if it has been dropped.

  • Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the heater.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Switching Your Heater On and Setting the Temperature:

  1. Insert the plug into the power socket.

  2. Turn the power dial to the desired setting:
    • FAN ONLY MODE
    • LOW POWER – Low heat (1000W)
    • HIGH POWER – High heat (1800W)
    • LOW SWING – Low heat oscillation (1000W)
    • HIGH SWING – High heat oscillation (1800W)

  3. Turn the temperature control dial until you hear a click – this will turn the unit on. Continue turning the dial to your desired temperature. The temperature control dial acts as a thermostat. Once the room has reached the desired temperature the unit will switch off.

Switching Off:

  1. Turn the power dial to the OFF position.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial anticlockwise to the lowest setting.
  3. Remove the power plug and store the heater after the unit has cooled down.

Your Heater’s Safety Guards:

  • Your heater will automatically turn off when it is not upright, due to the tip-over switch on the bottom of the appliance.
    This is to prevent damage to your home and your heater will turn back on when it is in its normal upright position.

  • Your heater will automatically turn off when the appliance has overheated.
    This may be because there is something covering the heater. Unplug the appliance and wait 30 minutes for it to cool. If there is no damage to the unit, cord, or plug, plug the unit back in and use as normal.

CLEANING

WARNING: ALWAYS TURN THE HEATER OFF, UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET AND ALLOW THE HEATER TO COMPLETELY COOL DOWN BEFORE HANDLING OR CLEANING IT.
WARNING: ALLOW THE HEATER TO COOL DOWN FOR 2 HOURS (240 MINUTES) BEFORE CLEANING.
CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO RUN INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE APPLIANCE, AS THIS COULD CREATE A FIRE AND/ OR ELECTRICAL HAZARD.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE CLEANERS OR SOLVENTS, AS THIS CAN DAMAGE THE HEATER.

  • Do not attempt to clean the appliance in any other way than that detailed by the manufacturer.

Your Heater’s Safety Guards:

  • Unplug the appliance and let cool before cleaning.
  • Gently clean the outside surface and the control panel with a damp, lint-free cloth.
  • Clean the vents of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner and the brush attachment to avoid dust build-up.

STORAGE

  • To store your product out of season, we recommend using the original or similar size box.
  • Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight. Place out of reach of children.
