Troubleshooting

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION

In the “Signal Reception Test” step, the listener cannot hear the smoke/CO alarm and there is no prompt in the app.| The distance between the listener and the smoke/CO alarm is too close or too far apart.| Please install your listener within 2–6 in (5–15 cm) of a smoke/CO alarm, making sure the arrow on the bracket points to your existing smoke/CO alarm.
The test button on the smoke/CO alarm was not pressed.| In the “Signal Reception Test” step, push the test button on the smoke/CO alarm to allow the listener to hear it, and make sure that the alarm can be heard as normal.
The smoke/CO alarm is too old and cannot be heard by the listener.| Replace the alarm with a new smoke/CO alarm.
It is unclear how to judge if the listener is working properly.| After completing the installation steps for the listener, light a piece of paper on fire and use the resulting smoke to trigger your smoke alarm. Allow the alarm to continue sounding and if the listener is functioning properly, you
should receive a push notification through the app. Please note, that attempting to trigger the listener by pressing the alarm’s test button may result in failure, so it’s best to use the smoke from a piece of paper as instructed.
It is unclear how to judge which listener is triggered first.| Look in the app: only the initiating listener will be displayed as being triggered, and the other listeners will not.
Judge by the color of the LED indicator: the initiating listener flashes red, and the other listeners alternate flashing red and blue.
Testing the smoke/CO alarm will trigger the listener.| None.| Once the listener is installed, it will continuously listen to your alarm, so testing your alarm will trigger it (including the device’s test after battery replacement).
Before testing your smoke/CO alarm, first press the test button on the side of the listener, or go to the “Signal Reception Test” page in the app.
When the smoke/CO alarm stops alarming, the LED indicator of the listener is still flashing, and the base station is still alarming.| None.| After the smoke/CO alarm stops  alarming, the listener will continue to monitor for a short period of time to confirm that the alarm has ended. Within 30 seconds, the LED indicator of the listener will stop flashing and the base station will stop alarming.
When the listener is triggered, the base station mutes after a short period of alarming, while the listener continues to alarm.| None.| To avoid disturbing people, the base station’s alarm sound will automatically mute after 10 minutes of continuous alarming. The base station’s silence has no effect on the listener’s ability to continue to alarm.
The listener cannot be added to the base station.| The listener did not enter pairing mode.| Quickly press the test button twice on the listener until it flashes blue rapidly, indicating it has entered pairing mode.
The alarm volume of the base station is low.| The alarm sound is set to low.| Go to “Base Station Alarm Sound” in the “Device Settings” of the listener to adjust the alarm sound.
**** The app push notification is delayed or there are no push alerts.| The app push notification permission is disabled.| Turn on the push notification permission on the phone.
The base station is not within the network coverage of the router.| The distance between the base station and the router should be within 170 ft (50 m). Please ensure that the base station is always within the network coverage of the router.
The communication between the listener and base station is not stable or they are too far apart.| Reduce the obstacles between the listener and base station. The maximum distance between the listener and the base station in an open environment is 1,700 ft (500 m).
The network connection of the router and the mobile phone is

abnormal.

| Make sure the network connection of the router and the mobile phone is normal.
The app shows that the listener is offline.| The               communication between the listener and the base station is blocked or the distance is too far.| Reduce the obstacles between the listener and the base station. The maximum distance between the listener and the base station is 1,700 ft (500 m) in an open environment.
The batteries have  run out.| Replace the batteries.
The app prompts low battery, and LED indicator of the listener flashes once

every 60 seconds.

| Low battery warning.| Replace the batteries.
