HPA SRD-4 Snow and Rain Diverter SRD
Installation Instructions
HPA Snow and Rain Diverters (SRD), are designed and manufactured to protect your outdoor condenser unit from all elements such has rain, snow, sun, and hail. Featuring a protective powder coated finish to match the condenser color, and a continuous front channel to divert water from collecting in the front propeller fan of the condenser unit. Follow the instructions below for installation steps.
HPA Snow and Rain Diverters utilize the existing fasteners found on your outdoor condenser unit for ease of installation. Follow the steps below for proper attachment.
STEP 1
Unscrew the existing condenser Top Panel fasteners found near the top edge of
the condenser. Typically (2) fasteners on left and right sides.
DO NOT REMOVE FACTORY TOP PANEL
STEP 2
Slide the HPA Rain and Snow Diverter over the existing condenser unit cover
until the mounting holes featured on the sides of the diverter line up with
screw locations from Step 1. Front channel on same side as front propeller
fan.
STEP 3
With hand/power tools, re-install fasteners removed during Step 1,
attaching the Diverter to the condenser.
NOTE: Fasten by hand before using hand/power tools to avoid misthreading.
Applies only to models SRD-4 & SRD-5
These specific HPA Snow and Rain Diverters feature locating tabs for when the factory condenser unit cover screws are not present on the sides of the machine. The purpose of the tabs is to position the diverter correctly on the condenser unit for installation.
STEP 1
Place the HPA Snow and Rain Diverter over the existing condenser Top Panel
such that the featured locating tab positions the diverter as shown. Front
channel on same side as front propeller fan.
Note : Locating tab should be fully seated against cover.
STEP 2
With the HPA Snow and Rain Diverter correctly positioned from Step 1. Use
hand/power tools, drive the supplied fasteners through the holes featured on
the sides of the Diverter into the condenser Top Panel.
Note : Only use supplied fasteners to install the Diverter. Do not drive
in a fastener where a hole is not present on the Diverter.
