Preparing the meter
Remove the protective film from the screen Slide the sensor cover to the left as far as it will go. Meter will turn on. Insert cassette, rounded end first and press flat. Close sensor cover. Close lancet cover and set desired penetration depth
Setting the time & date Video 1

Hold down the S button to enter the settings menu.
Meter may show ‘exp’ (cassette expired) if the correct date is not set. -
Press M to change the flashing character. Press S to save.
Connecting to the App (Optional)

Download the App onto your mobile device (There are two to choose from).

Hold down the S + M buttons until the pairing symbol appears.Open the app on your mobile device and follow the instructions.
Run a test

- Wash your hands in warm water
- Dry your hands thoroughly
- Open the sensor cover and wait for the wind-on symbol:
- Turn the thumbwheel until a test zone is in position and screen displays “OK”
- Press depth selector firmly against selected puncture site, then press S*Yes you can prick again

To repeat, close & open the sensor cover to re-cock 6. • Gently squeeze out a small round drop of blood.
• Keep the palm of your hand facing down.
• Use immediately. Do not allow the drop to run, dry or spread.
Aim for the red flashing light
You may press down on the blood drop
to spread it.
Do not touch the test zone
Cover the red illuminated area with blood or the meter will display E-7 or
produce an inaccurate result.
Do not spread blood off the edge of the tape and onto the meter. See Cleaning the Meter.
Do not smear a small drop across the test zone. A larger drop should be
used.Results in approx. 5 seconds Turn the
thumbwheel to dispose of the used test, until “OK” is displayed.
Close the sensor cover. The meter will turn off.
NOTE: If you close the cover before winding the used test away E-3E-3
will be displayed – open the cover and wind away.

Removing a cassette
- Remove the cassette: Push on the curved grip + lift out from the top. Clean the meter if you spread blood off the tape and onto the meter or if you get any of the above error messages
- Clean sensor window with a damp cotton tip or tissue in the direction shown.
Key to Common Error Messages
| Used test not wound into waste chamber.
Open sensor cover and wind away the used test.

| Blood applied too early or Sensor window dirty.
Wait for blood drop icon before applying blood or clean meter.
| Too much direct sunlight or Sensor window dirty.
Move to shade or clean meter.
| Cassette wound too far.
Continue winding until meter says “OK”.
| Insufficient blood. Use a larger drop or press down on the drop to spread
it.
| Test zone error or Sensor window dirty.
Clean the sensor window and repeat the test.
| Expired cassette.
Cassette past expiry date or opened longer than 90 days or date set in meter
is a future date – check year.
