Safety Information

Warning!

• ONLY use this device for its intended purpose, indoor storage and display of nonhazardous food and beverages. Operators should read this manual carefully before use, keep it for future reference, and provide it with the device if it is ever given or sold to a third party. Failure to do so may lead to electric shock, fire, serious property damage, or severe personal injury.

• DO NOT allow small children or other persons whose mental or physical impairments preclude safe use to handle this device without supervision.

• ONLY use this device with stable, compatible, and well-grounded power supplies. Do not overload this device’s circuit and only use it with extension cords, power strips, etc. able to handle its full expected current. Fully insert the plug into its socket and remove it using the plug itself, not its cord. Be careful not to crimp or damage the power cord and to keep it away from any walkway.

• ONLY install this device in a sturdy location able to easily bear its fully-loaded weight. Never place heavy items on top of it. Be sure the shelves are well attached before use, do not exceed the shelves’ weight capacity, and do not throw or drop heavy items onto the shelves as the force created might exceed the shelves’ capacity.

• ONLY install this device in a level location. Even during transport, do not tilt more than 45°.

• ONLY use and store this device in dry indoor locations well protected from the elements and excessive humidity. If use in a very humid location is completely unavoidable, install an electrical leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) on this device’s line before use.

• NEVER allow any electronic component to become wet. If any accidentally does become wet, disconnect the device from power until all components are completely dry. Never place items with open  water on, in, or near this device.

• In humid environments, DO NOT place power cords on the ground behind or beside this device. When used properly in its recommended environment, this device’s condensation and defrost runoff should collect and evaporate without problem but it is still recommended to avoid placing power cords nearby as a general precaution.

• ONLY open and close each door using its handle. Never apply excessive force against its windows or curtain or allow others to do so.

• NEVER obstruct or insert anything into this device’s air inlets and outlets. Provide at least 4 inches (10
  cm) of clearance between this device’s vents and any wall or other obstruction.

• For best results, use this device in its recommended climatic conditions away from direct sunlight. Allow hot items to cool to room temperature before placing them within.

• This device uses flammable refrigerant under pressure and uses flammable insulation materials. NEVER heat this device, never use other devices to defrost it, never place flammable or explosive materials within it or nearby, and never use flammable aerosols within it or nearby. If you ever notice substandard cooling or detect a refrigerant leak, disconnect this device from power, ventilate the area, and have a trained technician service it.

• NEVER drill into or otherwise poke holes into this device.

• NEVER clean or repair this device while it is still connected to its power source. Unplug it, turn off any intermediate surge protector, or turn off its circuit at the fuse box.

• DO NOT use this device if any wear, damage, or malfunction is detected. Tighten, repair, or replace loose, worn, or damaged components before further use. Fully replace any worn or damaged power cords. Use professional technicians. Improper settings or maintenance will void any warranty stated or implied. Never attempt to service or modify any electrical or refrigerant component—including the integrated lights—without specialized electrical or HVAC training.

Specifications

Installation

1. Prepare two locations for your new display refrigerator, one for usual service and another for initial setup and periodic maintenance. Both should be level and firm, able to easily bear the fully loaded weight of the device. Both should have the necessary amount of clearance for the device’s ventilation and a well-grounded circuit that can be used by the device alone.
2. Open and unpack the device. Keep any children and pets away from the packing materials.
3.  Open the doors to the display area. Allow at least 12 hours in the initial location to fully ventilate the refrigerator and to provide time for the refrigerant to fully settle.
4. Your device was cleaned and checked before leaving the factory, but look it over before use and clean anything that may have become dirty during shipment. If you will store open or loosely packed food in the refrigerator, clean and disinfect all surfaces out of an abundance of caution.
5. Use two or more people to move the refrigerator to its usual location. Avoid tilting it more than 45° as you go. Work together to set it down gently and carefully without any sharp impact. Check that the shelves are where you will need them to be and that they’re firmly supported.
6. Connect the power cord and make any adjustments you will need to the refrigerator’s default cooling settings. For best results, allow the machine to run for 1 hour before starting to fill it with items.

Control Panel

• The digital display normally shows the current shelf temperature. Hold ▲ until the display changes to see the current defrost sensor temperature. Press SET to see the current target temperature, which should cause the display to flash until it resets to again display the current shelf temperature.
• For both the compressor and defroster, their indicator light will shine steadily when it is on, flash when it is in standby and ready to activate after a short time, and be off when it is off.

Operation

• The default setting of your display refrigerator is to automatically cool its shelves to about 36°F (2°C), rest until 4 or 5 minutes after the shelves are 43°F (6°C), and then reactivate until it reaches its target temperature again. The pauses protect the compressor and minimize wear from excessively fast cycles of activation and deactivation to give you the longest service life possible. For similar reasons, for best results, cool hot items to room temperature before placing them in the display refrigerator.
• If you remove items at the end of the day and turn the refrigerator off, allow some time for it to cool down before adding items in the morning. In the recommended climatic conditions, it should take about 25–30 minutes for it to cool from 85° to 40°F (30° to 5°C) or below.
• As you stock items, be careful not to overload the shelves by weight or size. Items that hang over the edges can easily fall and the device relies on the open areas for its designed cooling. In particular, be careful not to block the cooling system’s inlet or outlet. If your device will be used for open food, remove any crumbs or debris at the end of each day or a few times during the day to minimize contamination and help keep the inlet and outlet clear.

Defrosting

After four hours of continuous use, your refrigerator will rest for 25 minutes to defrost its evaporator unless the shelves reach a temperature of 59°F (15°C), in which case it will stop defrosting and begin cooling again after a pause of 5 minutes. You can activate defrosting at any time by holding down the button. This will stop the compressor, reset the normal defrost countdown, and begin defrosting the evaporator until either the set defrost period is over or until the shelf temperature reaches 59°F. Hold  while the machine is defrosting to immediately end it. Cooling will resume after 5 minutes.

Adjustment

• Temperature Adjustment
  To adjust your device’s target temperature, press SET. While the numbers are flashing, use ▲ and ▼ to set the new temperature. Wait for the display to reset to the current shelf temperature and the new target will take effect.

• Parameter Adjustment
  To prevent unauthorized changes, the parameter menus are normally locked. Hold ▼ until the display flashes “On” to unlock them.
  While the menus are unlocked, hold SET until “E1” is displayed to enter them. For each parameter, use and ▼ to change the value. Press SET to save your current setting and move to the next parameter. Once you are done, just wait for the display to return to normal, saving your changes.

• Hold ▼ again until the display flashes “Off” to relock the menus.

• E1 and E2 control the range of target temperatures available when using the SET button. If there is any reason to worry that someone might adjust the temperatures improperly, this adjustment range can be narrowed to limit their options. E3 and E4 control the smoothing involved in reactivating the compressor; values lower than 6°F and 3 min. may be necessary for some products but will involve increased wear and a shorter operating life. E5 and E6 are calibrated separately for each machine at the factory to ensure proper functioning and should not normally need adjustment. F1 and F2 can be adjusted in some areas and seasons but do not set either to less than 10 minutes every 6 hours, since the evaporator can become much colder than the ambient temperature. F3 can be adjusted as needed for your products. F4 controls whether the temperature display will show its actual temperature during defrosting (00) or continue to show the last temperature before defrosting until 20 minutes after defrosting ends (01). C1 controls whether the settings are in Fahrenheit (01) or Celsius (00), but note that changing this value resets the others as well. If you have customized other parameters, they will need to be readjusted.
• Adjustment of parameters other than E1 and E2 may cause abnormal function and are made at the users own risk.

Maintenance

• Always fully disconnect your display refrigerator from power before any cleaning, draining, repair, or other maintenance.
• Dry and clean this device with a soft dry cloth as needed. If additional cleaners are necessary, use a wetted cloth and mild detergent. Rinse soap and residue with a second wetted cloth. Never use alcohol or caustic cleaners. Never spray, splash, or otherwise apply water directly onto the refrigerator and never allow any electronic component to become wet. If any accidentally does become wet, disconnect the device from power and wait until it is fully dry before attempting to resume use.
• Always provide adequate ventilation for your device and ensure the parameter settings allow enough time for the evaporator to fully defrost as it works. For best results, keep the doors closed as much as possible, particularly overnight, to minimize wear and prolong your device’s service life.
• Under normal use in its recommended climate, this device’s tray will allow condensation and frost to fully evaporate without any additional maintenance. In high humidity areas and seasons, however, the tray may require draining to avoid overflow. For this reason, never leave other electrical cords lying on surfaces next to this device.
• Periodically check that this device’s inlet and outlet remain unobstructed and that no component shows any looseness, wear, or damage. Tighten, repair, or replace any problematic part before further use. Always fully replace any worn or damaged power cords. Never adjust, repair, or replace this device’s refrigerated or electronic components—including the LED lights—without specialized technical training.
• If this device will not be used for an extended period, clean it, open its doors, disconnect it from power, and store it in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children.

Troubleshooting

A sound of gurgling water during use is normal. If the compressor shuts down or causes its circuit to blow, 1st, wait five minutes before attempting to restart it. 2nd, during that time, check that no other devices are on the same circuit and that all inlets and outlets are clear. 3rd, if the problem continues, run a full defrost cycle to clear any frost from the compressor. 4th, use a time delay fuse to allow the compressor’s higher initial load. Other problems will display an error code on the main display:

wiring or replace the cabinet temp. sensor.
EE2| Defrost Temp. Sensor Error| Have a technician repair the wiring or replace the defrost temp. sensor.
EE3| Condenser Temp. Sensor Error| Have a technician repair the wiring or replace the condenser sensor.
EE4| High Condenser Temperature| Clear any debris or material from the condenser.
Remove any dust or debris from within the vent.
Have a technician repair or replace the condenser fan.
Have a technician repair or replace the condenser temperature sensor.

Disposal

Electrical products should not be disposed of with regular waste. In the EU and UK, according to the European Directive 2012/19/EU for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in national laws, used electrical products must be collected separately and disposed of at the collection points provided for this purpose. Locations in Australia, Canada, and the United States may have similar regulations. This device’s refrigerant also requires special handling for reuse or legal disposal. Contact your local authorities or dealer for advice.
