Register and Bind

  1. Register in the WatchOut Connect App Enter Parent’s phone number while registering. OTP will come on email ID.
  2. Go to watch, slide to get binding code
  3. Scan the QR code from your app (Home > Top Right > Add Device) OR enter the binding code manually
  4. Enter phone number of the SIM in DuO Watch after scanning.

Charging Recommendation
Recommended to charge with laptop/PC or any normal regular chargers with a ~5V/~2Amp electrical output. Do NOT use Fast chargers/Quick chargers/Turbo Chargers/Dash Chargers which comes with much greater electrical output.

SIM card installation

  1. Turn the device off and remove the SIM card tray from the device.
  2. Install the Nano SIM card into the tray with metal contacts facing up.
  3. Plug the SIM card tray back into the SIM card slot.
  4. Restart to activate SIM card.
  5. Go to Settings and enable VoLTE.

  1. If your SIM card requires a PIN code input, this feature should be deactivated before inserting the SIM card into watch.
  2. Recommend to put new SIM in phone first then put in watch.

Order of actions for removing pin code from SIM:

  1. Insert the SIM card into a phone.
  2. Navigate to the SIM card settings.
  3. Select the option to disable the PIN code input requirement.
  4. Save the settings onto the SIM card.
  5. Remove the SIM card from the phone and insert it into WatchOut DuO.

Make sure that SIM card can access the Internet, receive/send calls and messages. WatchOut DuO works in 4G network (LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B38/B39/B40/B41, WCDMA900/2100MHZ).

Registration Process

  1. Open the WatchOut Connect app and click Register.
  2. Input nickname and your valid email account. OTP will come on email ID.
  3. Input PARENT’S mobile phone number. Example: +91{country code) 9876543210 (Ten digit Mobile Number)
  4. Get registration code from your email and input this code.
  5. Create password and repeat it.

Binding to smartphone

  1. Install the SIM card into WatchOut DuO, Power on the device. Scroll the screen of your DuO watch menu to “Binding code” and click in:
  2. Log into WatchOut Connect app.
  3. Bind WatchOut DuO to smartphone.
    a. Open the app and click “Add device” by selecting the top right icon on Home, Scan the binding code in the DuO Watch
    b. Fill in kid’s basic info and fulfill the binding process. Input phone of SIM in the Watch.
    c. If not scanning close the apps and try again or enter the binding code below the QR Code manually.

Fill in kid info in the app.

  1. Create Image for your kid.
  2. Input the phone number of the sim in DuO Watch.
  3. Input a Nickname for your kid.
  4. Input Birthday for your kid
  5. Input Gender for your kid
  6. Input Height and Weight for your kid .
  7. Input Grade for your kid.

Note:

  1. The first user to scan the binding code is granted as administrator by default.
    dministrator will have full access to all the settings for the DuO watch.

  2. Make sure to input correct phone number of the DuO watch, including country code.

DuO Watch Functions

Phone call and video call

  • Navigate the menu to enter Phonebook.

Voice chat

  • Navigate the menu to enter Voice chat.
  • Choose a contact , long hold the button to send voice a message.

Image

  • Navigate the menu to enter Image. Choose a photo, long hold it to select to delete the photo or send it to smart phone.

Camera

  • Navigate the menu to enter Camera. Enter to take photos.

Find friends

  • Navigate the menu to enter Find friends.
  • Shake the device to make friends with people who wear the same Next-Gen Kids watch device and who are within 2 m and who have their device in the “Making friends” mode.

Wall paper switching

  • At standby mode, long hold the screen and swipe the screen to choose a new wall paper. Short click the new wall paper to set it up.

  • Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to activate SOS function. All family members will receive a SOS notification, DuO watch location as well as a 30-sec sound recording.

Stopwatch

  • Navigate the menu to enter stopwatch, you can play/pause and reset the stopwatch with the two buttons on the screen.

Location

  • Turn on the watch and make sure that it got signal
  • Open the map on APP, click the location then it will shows your kid’s (watch’s) real-time position

Notes: If the watch is indoors, it usually positions itself via LBS (SIM tower network) or WIFI (Wi-Fi router network), and the deviation is inevitable, which depends on the distance between the watch and Base Station and the environment as well. If you’re  outside, it switches to GPS automatically, the range of deviation will also narrowed, but will still become unstable while the watch is moving, which is normal, you can’t regard this as quality issues and it won’t be considered in after-sale service.

  • If your locator is inaccurate, it can be for a variety of reasons depending on the coverage network. If you are in an area with a strong signal, your locating should work accurately, but will not work if you are in an area with low to no signal. This affects other features as well outside of locating including calling, texting, voice messaging, etc. Some features may work sometimes based on signal and others may not (so you may be able to make calls, but not use locating or vice versa).
  • If you find that your location works sometimes and your GPS locations are inaccurate, it most likely has to do with the coverage/service in your area and how many 4G towers you have located near you. If you live in a rural area or far from major roads, highways, intersections, plazas, or places where 4G coverage is weaker, you may find that the locating is off.
  • You can test the watch when it is near you and turned on. Ideally, you’ll have 3-4 signal bars and the ‘0’ icon showing in the top portion of the watch screen. If you only have 1-2 bars, your features should still work, but having as many bars as possible is ideal. The best thing to get more signals immediately is to take your watch outside briefly to get 3-4 bars and to have the ‘0’ icon turn white instead of grey. You can refresh your location by signing out of the app and signing back in.

How to add contacts

  1. Adding Family Member so even they can do video call and track GPS location of kid – WatchOut Connect app needed by other person
    • 1st Step- you need to ask the other person to install and register on WatchOut Connect app with their own email id
    • 2nd Step- go to your (admin) WatchOut Connect app – settings – family – + – Position+Chat+Call with WatchOut Connect app
    • 3rd Step- add the other person’s email id with which he have registered the app – to allow him to do video call and track gps

  2. Adding Family Member so they can_just audio call kid (no video call, no gps) – No WatchOut Connect app needed by other person
    • 1st Step – go to your (admin) WatchOut Connect app – settings – family – + – Call only without WatchOut app

Watch Settings

Slide the screen to enter “Settings”. You can check firmware version and available updates, IMEI number, set brightness, sound profile(ring anf vibrate), Language Settings, turn On/Off VoLTE and Restart.

Warnings

  1. This product is not a toy. Do not allow children or pets to swallow your WatchOut DuO Watch . The product contains small components that can be a choking hazard.
  2. WatchOut DuO Watch is splash-resistant. It can withstand raindrops, sweat and light shower, however, it should be removed before swimming.
  3. Certain atmosphere factors and other error sources can affect the accuracy of GPS. GPS is meant for outdoor, may not be accurate indoors.
  4. Do not store the device under extreme temperatures.
  5. Do not use or store device in dusty and dirty areas.
  6. Do not extensively drop, knock, or shake device. Rough handling can disrupt internal circuit board and mechanical parts.
  7. Charger output must be: 5 V, 1A (standard USB charger).

  9. WatchOut DuO works on 4G networks. Photo sharing function, calls and automatic updates can consume a large amount of data.

Cellular Data and Service Plan

A Sim card is required for connectivity features of the watch and to start the watch. Without a cellular service plan, the watch can NOT connect to the Internet. If you need the watch to be always online, you need a service plan or data plan.

A: WatchOut DuO Watch battery capacity is 80 mAh. The standby time depends on tracking mode and position frequency. The average standby time is up to 48 hours.

Q7: How to change or delete the administrator from the smartwatch?

A: To change the administrator of the account need to delete the smartwatch from the WatchOut Connect mobile application : 1. Open WatchOut Connect mobile application -Settings-About Device-Unbind 2. Install an application on the device in which you will control the smartwatch. 3. Register in the application with a new email ID, OTP will come on email, and enter PARENT's phone number during registration. Add the smartwatch to the app. Enter the Child's information after scanning the QR Code in the form that opens. 4. In case you don’t get the QR code in the watch to pair it with the new phone, you might need to hard reset the watch by removing the SIM, pressing the power ON/OFF button 3 to 4 times, scrolling down, and selecting factory data reset.

A: WatchOut DuO Watch is splash-resistant. It can withstand raindrops, sweat, and light showers, however, briefly immersed in water, it should be removed before swimming.

A: It is normal for the watch to get warm.

Q12: What can I do if the QR code won't appear?

A: 1. Check that the SIM card is inserted and WatchOut DuO Watch has a mobile Internet connection. Ensure your SIM is PIN-unlocked and you see LTE in the left upper corner of the screen. 2. Remove the SIM, press the power ON/OFF button 3 to 4 times, scroll down, and select factory data reset.

Q13: What can | do if the QR code won't scan?

A: Try again with more light or adjust the distance between the camera lens and the QR code. The binding code can also be entered manually.

Q14: Does the watch need network support when using the geopositioning function?

A: WatchOut DuO Watch needs network support because it uses a SIM card data service, which uploads location data to the server.

Q15: Can the battery of the watch explode when affected by high temperatures or while charging?

A: WatchOut DuO uses a battery that’s durable and has a higher safety performance compared to the traditional lithium-ion battery. The gel polymer lithium-ion battery uses a special colloidal electrolyte that will prevent it from exploding as the battery does not produce air or gas even if the liquid boils. This type of battery showed perfect performance in dozens of reliability tests such as crash, puncture, crushing, and heating. However, you should not conduct any tests by yourself.

Q16: How accurate is the location positioning?

A: WatchOut DuO gets position from 3 sources: GPS, Wi-Fi, GLONASS-LBS. GPS mode is decently accurate (5-10 meters). In tall buildings and other urban obstructions there is a chance of larger deviation. WatchOut DuO Watch will try to get its position via Wi-Fi if a GPS signal is not available. Wi-Fi location accuracy is about 50-100 meters. If both Wi-Fi and GPS signals are not available, WatchOut Next-Gen Kids Smart Watch will use LBS to get location. LBS accuracy is about 500-5000 meters.

Q17: How to reset the watch?

A: Remove the SIM, press the power ON/OFF button 3 to 4 times, scroll down, and select factory data reset.

Q22: The device is offline

A: Possible reasons: The SIM card installed in the watch is not registered in the mobile operator network. Insert the SIM card in the smartphone and turn off WiFi, make an outgoing call, and open any video on the internet. SIM card has a low data transfer rate or internet traffic has ended. SIM card has a negative balance.

Q23: The child took off the smartwatch, | didn't get the notification

A: In the smartwatch should be installed the SIM card with a positive balance and Internet traffic. Open the WatchOut Connect mobile application-Settings- Device Setting-Off Alarm-Activate Notification is sent no more than once every 5 minutes.

Q24: Cannot make a voice call to the smartwatch. If “Protect from Stranger Calls

A: Open WatchOut Connect mobile application-Settings-Device Settings-Protect from Stranger Calls-Turn off Check that the user number is in international format (WatchOut Connect mobile application-Settings-Family)

Q25: How to turn off the barring incoming calls?

Q31: How to send SMS message to the smart watch?

A: Smart watch does not support sending/receiving SMS messages You can send text and voice messages only by WatchOut Connect mobile Application

Q32: QR code. What is it, where | can find it?

A: QR-code consists of squares arranged in a square grid on a white background, that can be read by image processing devices such as the camera. In our devices, it comes the first time while initiating the smartwatch after sim card installation: QR code is required to register with the application and make full use of your watch. Necessary requirements: 1. A SIM card is inserted in the smartwatch. 2. SIM card has a positive balance of Internet traffic. 3. In the smartwatch when the SIM card is detected on the mobile network, the window with the QR code will appear automatically: 4. In case you don’t get the QR code in the watch to pair it with the new phone, you might need to hard reset the watch by removing the SIM, pressing the power ON/OFF button 3 to 4 times, scrolling down, and selecting factory data reset.

Limited Warranty is only valid in India.
WatchOut may conduct diagnostic test on customers product to identify cause of defect/failures.
This warranty does not cover the following case:

  1. Any external part of product has been missing.
  2. Any damage occurs in/on outer surface of the product not limited to cracks, dents or scratches on the exterior case and other attachnents.
  3. Deterioration of the product caused by normal wearing and tearing, including but not limited to rust or stains.
  4. 4. Charging cable and strap are not covered under warranty.
  5. The free maintenance period of the product has expired.
  6. Mechanical failure due to application of fittings not recognized by our company.
  7. Damage caused by disassembling the product by repairer who is unauthorized by our company.
