Product Usage Instructions

Waxing

Your skis come pre-waxed with a universal warm wax for initial use. To optimize performance, we recommend applying a temperature-specific wax, especially in very cold conditions. Harder wax is recommended for colder temperatures as it enhances speed. Follow these steps to wax your skis:

  1. Clean the base of the skis using a ski base cleaner.
  2. Select the appropriate temperature-specific wax based on the snow conditions.
  3. Apply the wax evenly on the base of the skis using a waxing iron.
  4. Let the wax cool and then scrape off any excess wax using a plastic scraper.
  5. Brush the base with a ski brush to achieve a smooth finish.

Tuning

Regular tuning of your skis is essential to maintain their performance. Follow these steps to tune your skis:

  1. Check the edges for any burrs or nicks and use a file to smooth them out.
  2. Sharpen the edges using an edge sharpening tool.
  3. Check the base for any damage and repair it using a P-Tex candle.

Topsheet & Cosmetics

To keep the topsheet and cosmetics of your skis in good condition, avoid hitting hard objects and store them properly when not in use. Clean the topsheet with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed.

MAINTENANCE

Waxing

Your skis come waxed with a universal warm wax to penetrate into the base as much as possible. You can get them mounted and hit the slopes right away. We do, however, recommend applying a temperature-specific wax for optimal performance. This especially applies to very cold conditions. When the snow crystals are very cold, they get very hard and the harder the wax, the faster your skis will be. We recommend waxing your skis every 7-10 days of use (hot wax).

Tuning

All models come with a stock edge bevel of 1° on the base side and 2°on the edge side. We have found these angles work very well for most skiers in most conditions. All skis come with a slight detune of the tip and tail edges. Tuning is a very subjective topic and changes can easily be made at a tuning shop based on your personal preference.

Topsheet & Cosmetics

The number one cause of top sheet chipping is hitting the metal ski edge of one ski into the top edge of your other ski. This often takes place on the chairlift in an attempt to knock snow off the topsheets. DO NOT DO THIS! If you need to remove snow, use your gloves! The metal edge can cut or chip the plastic topsheet. These cuts and chips are purely cosmetic, however they are unsightly and unnecessary. If a chip or cut does appear, simply use a palm sander or a sanding block to smooth out the rough area.
