Maintaining your spa

Wave recommend using Chlorine tablets or granules to keep your spa’s water clean and safe, you should follow the directions that come with these products. You can find these for sale at waveglobal.com When using chemicals, it is important to: Ensure the chlorine is at the right strength and the water is at the right PH using testing strips. Chlorine must be mixed into the water, if left next on your spa’s liner it will cause damage and invalidate your warranty. Algaecide can be used to prevent algae forming in your spa, we recommend using Wave’s chemicals as they have all been formulated for use in our spas. Using incorrectly formulated chemicals could invalidate your warranty.

Cleaning and replacing the filter cartridge:

A dirty filter cartridge can contaminate the water, which can in turn damage your spa’s heater. To clean the filter cartridge:

  1. Unscrew the filter case by turning it anti-clockwise and take out the filter from the case
  2. Rinse off the filter cartridge using a garden hose. If at this point the filter cartridge remains dirty or discolored, you should change it.
  3. Put the filter cartridge back in the filter case and then screw it back on to your spa.

To drain the spa, simply unplug the stopper from the bottom of the spa and unscrew the drain cap.
