1. How long does it take for the temperature/humidity readings to stabilize and be accurate?
2. Why are the temperature/humidity readings of different sensors and indoor console do not agree when they are placed at the same location?
1 ) Make sure they have been stabilized for more than 1.5 hours. 2 ) The temperature accuracy range is +/-2F and humidity accuracy range is +/-5%. It is within accuracy range if the temperature reading differences are within 4F or humidity reading differences are within 10%.
3. Why sometimes the temperature reading of the external sensors are abnormally high?
Make sure that the external sensors are placed in a well shaded place. Exposure to direct sunshine might cause abnormally high temperature readings.
4. Why some of the sensors do not report in after power up?
Power the sensors first and the indoor console second. Do not operate any button before all sensors are reported in.
5. Why do sensors and indoor console sometimes loose connection?
The transmission range is 300ft in open area. However with walls and other obstructions, the normal range is around 100ft depending on specific environment. Keep the console and sensors away from electronic devices or metal objects which could be interference sources.
6. Does this unit come with RCC/Atomic clock function?
No, it does not. To set time/date and other parameters, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds to enter SET mode.
7. Why the weather forecast in the console is different with the current weather or that from other sources like Tv?
1 ) Remember to set up the correct initial weather icon with current weather condition. For example, set the correct initial weather icon to be Sunny if the current weather outside is sunny. The default weather icon when powered up is Cloudy. If the initial weather icon is wrong you might get wrong weather forecast afterwards. 2 ) The weather forecast is the estimation of weather trend for next 24 to 48 hours based on barometric change. The default threshold for weather change is 2mbar/hour which can be adjusted from 2-4mbar. Locations that experience frequent changes in air pressure require a higher setting compared to locations where the air pressure is typically stagnant. 3 ) The tendency is simply a tool for projecting weather conditions and is never to be relied upon as an accurate method to predict the weather.
8. Why the barometric pressure reading is wildly off with other sources?
The unit provides both Absolute pressure and Relative pressure readings. Make sure you are comparing the same kind of pressure with other sources. If you are comparing absolute pressure reading of the unit with relative pressure reading from other sources, they could be wildly off.
