How To Find The Perfect BulletProof Hitch for Your Vehicle
In order to find out which BulletProof Hitch will work best for your vehicle, please follow these steps:
STEP 1: Measure the opening of the receiver tube (Figure A) to
determine what size shank your vehicle requires. It will either be 2”, 2.5” or
3” (Please note the 3” is only applicable to some 2017 and newer Ford Super
Duty trucks and some RVs/semis.)
STEP 2: Park your vehicle on level ground and measure from the ground to
the bottom inside of the receiver tube (Figure B) , then take that
measurement and apply it to the information below. As you can see in the
example, this truck would require our 6” drop.
Receiver height as measured:
Under 13” requires a hitch in the rise position (call us to help you)
13”-15” requires 2 ” drop/rise hitch
16”-18” requires 4” drop/rise hitch
19”-21” requires 6” drop/rise hitch
22”-24” requires 8” drop/rise hitch
25”-27” requires 10” drop/rise hitch
28”-30” requires 12” drop/rise hitch
31”-33” requires 14” drop/rise hitch

Medium Duty
Bulletproof medium duty hitches
The Medium Duty hitch is an adjustable steel hitch designed for those looking to tow with their SUV, 1/2-ton truck or heavy-duty truck. Rated to 14,000 pounds, the Medium Duty hitch is precision CNC milled and drilled, and features a box steel shank, solid steel dual ball assembly and (2) hardened pins and R-clips to secure the dual ball to the hitch. The hitch and dual ball are finished in a durable, textured, black, powder coat. The Medium Duty hitch is offered in two shank sizes (2”and 2.5”) and can be used in a drop or rise position. This hitch is a great option for those wanting a safe towing experience without the weight of the solid steel Heavy Duty and Extreme Duty hitches.

Offset Hitches
Medium Duty 4” & 6” Offset Hitch
The Medium Duty 4” & 6” Offset Hitch was designed for people who regularly tow a wide variety of trailers. This hitch can be used in either orientation. It’s great for those who tow tall trailers that may require the ball in the rise position and smaller trailers that require it in the drop position. You can leave this hitch locked in place and not worry about flipping it over every time you have a trailer with a different height requirement.
The Medium Duty Offset Hitch is available in 2” & 2.5” shank sizes. It offers up to 14,000 pounds towing capacity and 2,000 pounds tongue weight capacity with 6 easily adjustable ride heights.
Medium duty hitches are not compatible with the pintle attachment.

Extreme Duty 4” & 6” Offset Hitch
The Extreme Duty 4”& 6” Offset Hitch was designed for people who regularly tow a wide variety of trailers. This hitch can be used in either orientation. It’s great for those towing very tall trailers such as pintle equipment trailers which may require the ball in a rise position, and small utility trailers which may require the ball in a drop position. You can leave this hitch locked in place and not worry about flipping it over every time you have a trailer with a different height requirement.
It was also designed for most vehicles to allow the tailgate to fold down without touching the hitch. The 2.5” & 3” versions offer a 36,000 pounds towing capacity, while the 2” version offers a 30,000 pounds towing capacity. All versions offer a 6,000 pounds tongue weight capacity. Receiver Shackles
When you need to attach a rope, strap or chain to your truck, it’s important to find the strongest possible point on the vehicle. The Extreme Duty BulletProof Receiver Shackle solves that problem with a solid steel shank and a 1-1/4” shackle to attach the tether to your vehicle.
This shackle features four different pin holes so you can set the shackle where you need it. The design allows it to be used in both horizontal and vertical orientations, as well as in extended or recessed positions. This can be especially useful for trucks with aftermarket bumpers.
Our receiver shackle features the same durable, textured powder coat as our hitches and is rated at 36,000 pounds This accessory comes standard with one hardened pin and R-clip. BulletProof Extreme Duty Receiver Shackles are available in 2”, 2.5” and 3” shanks.

5/8” BULLETPROOF LOCKING PIN
The BulletProof Locking Pin is made from stainless steel to provide maximum corrosion and rust protection. The length of the pin works with all 2”, 2.5”, & 3” hitch receivers. It can also be used to secure the dual ball or other BulletProof accessories into the hitch channel. Our locking pin features a 2” & 2.5” anti-rattle stabilization spacer to prevent side to side movement. This top-of-the-line locking pin has a universal fit. With 4” of usuable length, it is compatible with any vehicle and any hitch on the market. The BulletProof Locking Pin is rated to the max capacity of the hitch 14,000 – 36,000lbs and offers peace of mind when leaving your vehicle unattended. The thick, lockable barrel (end-piece) helps to prevent theft as well as provide a solid hold on your hitch.
Note: This locking pin is not compatible with the BulletProof Weight Distribution Adapter

The BulletProof Corrosion Resistant Pins were designed with strength, durability and utility in mind. In addition to the zinc plating, the BulletProof 5/8” pin features an electro-less nickel undercoat for unsurpassed corrosion resistance. The pins are also heat-treated for increased strength and wear resistance. They’re sold as a pair, including R-clips, and are rated to the full capacity of any BulletProof Hitch.

Bulletproof PINTLE ATTACHMENT
This attachment converts our dual ball setup into a pintle hitch. Lower the loop over the top of the 2-5/16” ball, drop our pintle attachment into the hitch channel above the loop, insert the supplied hardened pin, and you are ready to hit the road! Rated to 36,000 pounds when paired with our Extreme Duty hitches. NOTE: Medium Duty hitches are NOT COMPATIBLE with our Pintle Attachment. BULLETPROOF 5/8” CHANNEL SHACKLES FOR SAFETY CHAINS – PAIR
Safety chains connect a trailer to the hitch receiver and work as a backup in case the coupler detaches from the ball. Attaching safety chains to a hitch receiver when using a drop hitch can be very difficult or even impossible under certain circumstances. With this pair of 5/8” shackles, you can attach your safety chains to the channel on any BulletProof Hitch. This allows you to get the correct safety chain length without the need for chain extenders. Our Channel Shackles are rated up to 6,500 pounds each.

FRAME-MOUNTED HITCH STABILIZER BARS
Do you want to set your truck apart from the rest? The BulletProof Frame Mounted Hitch Stabilizer Bars definitely make a statement that your truck is ready to pull anything! This kit includes 2 black texture powder coated, heavy duty steel bars that connect the bottom of the hitch to the frame rails of the truck, eliminating all leverage on the truck’s hitch receiver. All hardware, brackets and bolts needed for installation are included in the kit. The bars are extendable from 29”-45” inches and can be tightened, eliminating all slop/wobble from the hitch receiver. The Frame Mounted Hitch Stabilizer Bars will fit all existing BulletProof Hitches™ with 8” of drop or more.

Installation:
In some cases, fabrication is required to mount the frame brackets to the hitch receiver or the frame. This depends on the design of your factory hitch receiver and the location of the spare wheel. Some drilling is required! You’ll need one 5/8” hole in the hitch gusset and four 1/2” holes in the frame. This kit does not include drill bits.
Bulletproof sway control
To equip your vehicle with our full Sway Control System, a mounting point for the sway control bar must be attached to the hitch. With the BulletProof Sway Control Ball Mount, you can mount a sway control system between your hitch and your trailer. This is most useful in reducing sway on large, heavy loads. The Sway Control Ball Mount comes with a 2” and 2-5/16” combination ball and two side plates for mounting the sway control ball, giving you the option of attaching the sway control system to either side of the trailer. Typically, this setup would only have one side plate for mounting, which may not work for some applications. Having two ball sizes and mounting plates means you can easily switch trailers and even change which side you want to mount the sway control system on. This is especially important for trailers with designs that interfere with the articulation of the sway control system.

This solid steel adapter allows you to attach a weight distribution system to a BulletProof Hitch. After modifying your vehicle’s suspension and/ or adding larger tires, you may need a hitch with a longer drop. Bulletproof hitches™ loop attachment
The lunette ring/loop is compatible with any of our hitches. It is fully adjustable by removing the two hardened pins, moving the loop up or down in the channel and reinserting the pins. The BulletProof Hitches Flat Plate Attachment is made of heavy duty, solid steel. This 12” x 10” plate can be used to mount a winch, a vice, as a table, or even as a place to sit! It is durable enough to be drilled through for mounting winches and vices and features our signature black textured powder coat. Three hardened pins and R-clips included for mounting the flat plate attachment to your hitch. Rated up to 22,000 pounds.
Bulletproof anti-rattle clamp
BulletProof Hitches™ are manufactured to a very tight tolerance of +/- .010 of an inch. Unfortunately, hitch receivers cannot always live up to these standards. Tolerances can vary as much as .100 of an inch and could cause some unwanted movement or rattle in the hitch.
To solve this, we have developed the BulletProof Anti-Rattle Clamp. It allows you to tighten the hitch to the receiver and eliminate all movement. Our Anti- Rattle clamp is made from 1/2” thick pressed break steel and features our signature black, textured powder coat.
Installation is simple – just slide the hitch through the clamp, insert the hitch into the receiver, tighten the bolt and then tighten the jam nut with a wrench to eliminate movement inside the receiver.

Bulletproof hitch Step Attachment
Getting into the bed of your truck can be a chore, whether your vehicle is stock or lifted to the sky. With our step attachment, reaching into the bed of your truck or roof of your SUV is much safer than trying to stand on a greasy ball, wet bumper or tire. With a small profile, the step only occupies two of the pinholes in the channel of the hitch. With the BulletProof Step Attachment, you won’t have to climb up your tire to get to your impact driver ever again!
