WARNING:
Further complete safety instructions

  • Never leave your child without supervision in the Tuki.
  • The Tuki may only be used when its front (= the side opposite the kick plate) is placed against a console such as a kitchen counter or a wall. This guarantees that the Tuki does not tip over to the front.
  • Always stay within reach of your child.
  • Only use the Tuki when your child can stand and walk in-dependently and safely without support and is at least 2 years old.
  • The Tuki must stand on a straight, firm surface.
  • Only use the Tuki when all components are correctly at-tached and adjusted. In particular, make sure that the footboard and standing board are properly attached and cannot move before your child discovers the Tuki.
  • For fire safety reasons, the Tuki must not be placed near an open fire or any other heat source, such as electric or gas heaters.
  • While climbing up and down, your child could fall. There-fore, make sure that your child can get on and off safely.
  • Do not let your child rock or sway in the Tuki and make sure that they do not hold onto, push off or pull on other objects.
  • Do not use the Tuki Learning Tower if any parts are broken, worn or missing.
  • Never let your child lean over the Tuki with its upper body. Be aware that the Tuki allows your child to reach poten-tially dangerous places, e.g. in the kitchen or at the work-bench. Therefore, make sure that there are no small parts, poisonous substances, hot objects, electrical appliances, etc. near the Tuki and within reach of your child, otherwise he or she could swallow objects, get poisoned or injured.
  • Remember to retighten all screws of the Tuki after as-sembly and every 2-3 weeks thereafter. After that, the screws should be checked regularly, for example every two months, and tightened if necessary. Keep the Allen key carefully for this purpose.
  • Only use spare parts from mimodo AG, otherwise you en-danger the safety of your child.
  • Only use the Tuki when it is absolutely dry.
  • Use the Tuki only as a step stool and not as a ladder.
  • NEVER let your child play around the Tuki if it is not in the position intended for use.
  • Do not transport or lift the Tuki when your child is inside.
  • The Tuki must not be used outdoors.
  • Be aware of the risk if your child pushes the Tuki around by itself. This can lead to the Tuki tipping over and, as a result, to injuries.
  • A Tuki that is placed by a window can be used as a step by your child. This could cause your child to fall out of the window.
  • The product MUST NOT be placed near a window where the cords of blinds or cords of curtains could strangle a child.
  • The Tuki should be placed on a flat surface and not on any additional elevation (slats, books, parapets, stone slabs, etc.).

Adjusting the Step and Standing Plate
Determine the appropriate height of the step and standing plate according to your child‘s height. Your child should be able to climb easily and safely from the step plate to the standing plate. It should also be able to comfortably move objects on the work surface with its arms and stand with its hips below the upper crossbar. Since the height of children varies indi-vidually, we do not give any standard measurements. You can quickly and easily adjust the height in three steps at any time after assembly. The adjustment of the step and standing plate should be checked regularly as your child grows, at least twice a year. The step plate and the standing plate must be fully in-serted into the grooves and they must not protrude beyond the side wall on any side. In addition, the tread plate and the standing plate must not move. This is achieved by thoroughly tightening the screws.

Cleaning and Care

To clean the Tuki, wipe it with a slightly damp, soft cloth and dry it afterwards to remove any remaining water. Only use mild cleaning agents. Avoid any kind of chemical detergents or ethanol-based products. Never use cleaning products that could be toxic for your child. Do not clean the Tuki with sponges as this will scratch the surface. If the Tuki is exposed to direct sunlight, the colour may fade over time.

Assembly and Disassembly (p. 26)
Keep your child away from the Tuki during assembly and disassembly to avoid injury.

Glides and Surfaces
To prevent the Tuki from tipping over when it is moved, the glides provided must be fitted at the specified points.
With the help of the glides, the Tuki can glide smoothly and stays in an upright position. To en-sure that the mounted glides work as intended, the Tuki Learning Tower should be placed on a surface on which it can glide easily. The surface should therefore be even, stable and of a certain hard- tuki.ch ness. Uneven and/or rough surfaces, for example
tiled floors and/or carpets with soft or long loose runs, are not suitable for the Tuki. The glides and the floor must be kept clean.

Warranty

All wooden and metal parts are covered by a 2 year warranty. The guarantee only covers material and construction defects.
The guarantee does not cover defects caused by normal wear and tear, improper use of the product or changes made to the product after purchase or caused by the use of accessories that are neither approved nor sold by mimodo AG. The guar-antee does not apply if the assembly and use instructions and the care instructions have not been followed.
