PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED.

Use this product only as described in this manual.

The product is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

Children must be supervised not to play with the product.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless continuously supervised.

Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Place the product on a flat, stable surface.
Operating the product in any other position could cause a hazard. -
Avoid soft surfaces or stacking the product on top of other products. Doing so may cause the device to operate improperly.

Never overload the scale. This may damage the sensor.

Do not stand on the scale. This scale is intended for food preparation only.

This product is intended for indoor household use and similar applications. Do not use outdoors.

Do not operate the product if there are any signs of damage to the product or accessories supplied.

Do not expose the product to extreme temperature fluctuations.

Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquids.

Do not place this product near water.

Do not place this product near ovens or heating sources.

Do not place any objects on top of the scale when it is not in use.

Do not store the product in a vertical position. Doing so may damage the high precision sensors. Always store the device in a horizontal position.

Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical elements in the device. Doing so may be unsafe and will void your warranty.
BATTERIES
This product is supplied with AAA disposable batteries.

****BATTERY WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
Choking hazard. Do not swallow. Harmful if swallowed. Swallowing can lead to
chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death.
Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. If you think batteries
might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek
immediate medical attention.
- This product only uses a AAA battery. It isnot compatible with other battery types.
- Do not allow children to handle batteries.
- If the battery compartment does not closesecurely, stop using the product and keepit away from children.
- Ensure that the battery is installed with the correct polarity (+ and –).
- Remove exhausted battery promptly.
- Always inspect new batteries before use. Damaged or weak batteries may leak acid. Discontinue use if batteries show signs of leakage, damage, or weakness atany time.
- Ensure the battery compartment is correctly and securely closed after installing the batteries.
- Wash hands after handling batteries.
- Disposable batteries are not rechargeableand must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste.
Always dispose of batteries at an official collection point and according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Activating Batteries
- Turn the scale over and place on a dry and flat surface.
- Pull the plastic tab out from the battery compartment.
Replacing Batteries
- Carefully remove the battery cover on the underside of the scale.
- Insert 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries into the compartment as per the directions indicated.
- After inserting the batteries, replace the battery cover.
Weighing/Volume Measuring
- Place the scale on a solid and level surface.
- Press button to turn on.
- Press button to set the weighing mode when the LED display shows “0”.
- Place your weighing receptacle on the scale if required, the LED display will show the weight of the receptable.
- Press button to reset the weight to zero.
- Load the weighing object on the scale (or pour liquid into the container) to start weighing. The LED display will show the weight/volume reading.
Note: Press button to convert the mode or unit after the scale is turned on.
Zero Or Tare
Zero or tare can be used to weigh different loads cumulatively without
removing the loads from the scale.
- ZERO MODE: If the total loaded weight is below 200g, the symbol (zero weight) will show. Once a weight as been loaded onto the scale, you can press to reset the LED display to “0” before adding the next load. This can be used repeatedly.
Waste Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
This symbol on the batteries supplied with your product indicates that Waste
Batteries under Directive 2006/66/EC which governs used batteries and
accumulators should not be disposed of with general household waste.
If the battery contains more than 0.004% lead, the battery symbol will be
accompanied by the letters (PB).
The Mobius Loop
This symbol indicates that the product or packaging is capable of being
recycled.
Take-Back Scheme
Waste electrical products (WEEE) can be sent to One Retail Group for recycling
and disposal when you purchase a new product from One Retail Group, on a like-
for-like basis. For more information on how to recycle this product please

The end-user of electrical and electronic products (WEEE) is responsible for
separating old batteries and lamp bulbs before they are handed over to a
designated disposal and recycling service. Waste batteries can also be
disposed of in collection bins, which can be found in most local supermarkets
andhousehold waste recycling centres.
