Descriptions

Do ceiling speakers require a power outlet? No, ceiling speakers typically function as passive speakers, which means they lack internal amplifiers and are powered by speaker cables connected to an external amplifier. Each ceiling speaker is connected to the binding posts on the amplifier to do this.

Easy 4-Step Installation

  1. Cut a hole in your desired location. The hole should be 8” in diameter in order to fit the speaker. Make sure the length of your speaker wire is sufficiently long enough.
  2. Attach the speaker wire to the back of the speaker (see the below diagram).
  3. Place the speaker inside the hole you cut.
  4. Tighten the screws to secure your speaker in place.

Make sure to check the wattage and ampage of your speaker system while installing this speaker. The volt transformer should match the settings/specifications of your speaker system. The wattage setting will depend on the total watts your system can take and how many speakers you are going to use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the LED lights be muted with the proper wall dimmer?****

No. The LED lights cannot be dimmed; they can only be switched on or off.

Does the light come on sporadically or each time the system is switched on?****

Actually, it consists of two separate parts that are joined by a few screws. Like any other completed conventional speaker, the speaker, which screws onto the back of the lights, has its own set of cords and terminals for making music. The front part of the light’s LEDs are powered by two cords.

How is a speaker in the ceiling powered?****

No, ceiling speakers typically operate as passive speakers, which means that, because they lack built-in amplifiers, they are powered by speaker wires connected to an external amplifier. Each ceiling speaker is connected to the amplifier using the binding posts.

Is it possible to link a receiver to ceiling speakers?****

The receiver’s connection to ceiling speakers increases the possibility that there won’t be any further disconnections. You won’t have any trouble listening to quality music for a very long time if your speakers are correctly wired.

Are there any directional speakers in the ceiling?****

The greatest in-ceiling speakers give a bigger average listening area that is suitable for background music, despite the fact that they are directional and still require careful placement for the optimum audio picture. Even if you are at the room’s edges or corners, you can still receive a strong signal.

What do ceiling speakers need to do?****

An external amplifier must be connected via speaker cable to each of the ceiling speakers in order to power them all. The Sonos Amp is, in our opinion, the greatest multi-room alternative.

Can I use my ceiling speakers to link my TV?****

Every TV will be equipped with an audio output. It will most likely
be a digital optical output for the time being. You can listen to TV sound through your ceiling speaker system by running an analogue cable from your TV to the amplifier and switching to line output on your TV.

How can I attach my amplifier to the speakers in my ceiling?****

Create a passageway for the wires to pass through.
Shut off the breaker after making sure the amplifier is unplugged.
Connect the wiring.
Start attaching the wires to the speaker terminals in the ceiling.
Connect the other end of the wires to the amplifier’s terminals.
Try it out by turning on your breaker.

How do I play music through the speakers in my ceiling?****

Purchase a multi-zone AV receiver, then connect speaker wires to each
amp-powered speaker. Your home audio system will be easier to set up if you choose an AV receiver with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built in.

Can I use these in the shower or bathroom and are they water- resistant?****

It is not resistant to moisture.

Can you dim these lights for me?****

I’m sorry, but you are unable to turn the lights down. Please visit our website at pyleaudio.com for more information. In the PDICLE4 search box, type the model number. I’m grateful.

Can TV speakers be positioned on the ceiling?****

Ceiling speakers can be used to play TV audio, however they cannot be connected to TVs because they lack independent speaker outputs.

How far should speakers be mounted from the ceiling?****

The distance between in-wall and ceiling speakers must be at least 18 to 24 inches.
