THE CONTROLS
REVERB
sets the amount of the reverb effect to be mixed in with the dry signal. Note that when this control is in the minimum position, the Tone control has no effect. In parallel effect mode (see advanced options) this knob controls the volume of the unit when engaged.
TONE
controls the high-end timbre or treble tone of the reverb effect signal. Use this control to fine-tune your sound in combination with the type switches. When this knob is set to maximum, no filter is engaged and a true full-range reverb sound is achieved.

TYPE SWITCHES – These switches select which type of reverb is to be used. In total, there are nine (9) different reverb types according to the program matrix shown on the next page.
LED INDICATOR Indicates when the pedal is switched on.
FOOT SWITCH Switches the pedal on or off.

ADVANCED CONTROL OPTIONS (inside the box)

CHANGING TO PARALLEL MODE

The EBS DynaVerb can be set to parallel mode, which makes it suitable for connecting to mixing consoles and so using the unit just as if it was a rack effects unit. To do so, carefully remove the four bottom screws, take off the bottom cover and change the two small switches to ”OFF”. This will kill the direct signal from the reverb. Since no direct signal is present in parallel mode, it is good practice to turn up the Reverb and Tone knobs to the maximum setting to start with. Note also that when the pedal is bypassed, no signal is present at the outputs. If you are not 100% sure how to do this, please consult your nearest service centre. Excessive force may result in damage to the unit, and the warranty in that case will be void.

POWER OPTIONS

DC POWER ADAPTOR For environmental reasons, we recommend the use of a DC Power Supply, such as the EBS AD-9 PRO. The EBS DynaVerb handles 9-18 V DC and requires a 2.1 mm pin centre negative type of connector.
BATTERY The DynaVerb pedal can run on battery (not included), but since it needs quite a lot of power – we strongly recommend using it with a power supply for constant use.

To place a battery in the pedal follow these steps.

  1. Remove the four screws holding the bottom plate.
  2. Carefully remove the bottom plate.
  3. Place a 9V alkaline type; 6LR61 in the battery holder.
  4. Gently place back the bottom plate.
  5. Attach the four mounting screws using moderate tension.
