How it works

  • The charcoal box heats up completely within 10 minutes due to the battery powered fan in the base.
  • Can reach temperatures up to 420C.
  • The included mini USB port can be used as an alternative for batteries if there is an external power source available.

How to use it

  • Open the battery case at the bottom of the outer bowl. Insert four AA batteries and close the case.
  • Place the inner pot into the outer bowl.
  • Place the ignition plate in the base of the inner pot

You then have two options for lighting the charcoal box. Choose one of the below options:

Option 1. Light the charcoal box using cube firelighters

  • Put the ignition plate into the inner bowl and the charcoal box on the ignition plate.
  • Place 3 to 4 cube firelighters in the charcoal box then fill it with heat beads.
  • Light the cubes using a match or automatic firelighter and wait a few seconds before covering the charcoal box with the lid.
  • Turn the round ventilation control button on the outer bowl on.
  • Turn it clockwise to the maximum position (the ventilation must be on so that the flame is not extinguished).

Option 2. Lighting the charcoal box using lighter gel

  • Put the ignition plate into the inner bowl.
  • Apply a circular layer of lighter gel on the ignition plate, approximately 10mm wide.
  • Turn the round ventilation control button on the outer bowl on.
  • Turn it clockwise to the maximum position (the ventilation must be on so that the flame is not extinguished).
  • Light gel until it burns, being careful not to touch the flame.
  • Place the charcoal box on the ignition plate, taking care to place it evenly.

Having implemented the steps above for your chosen lighting method, continue setup with the following steps:

  • Put the lid on the charcoal box.
  • Put the grill rack on top of the inner pot being sure to insert the four metal legs into the slots of the inner pot. Both metal loops at the side of the grill rack have to be aligned with the latches. Hook the latches into the metal loops, and pull down to lock the device.
  • After approximately 10 minutes, the grill should be ready for use.

Note: The fan must stay on at all times while you are cooking.
