Product Usage Instructions
Facility:
- Download the Resideo app onto your mobile device.
- Launch the app, sign up for an account, and select L1 WiFi Water Leak and Freeze Detector from the device list.
Connect to App:
Follow the instructions in the app to complete the setup process.
Install Batteries:
- Open the battery cover on the detector and install the provided 2 AA batteries.
- Press the button for 1 second to wake up the device.
- Press and hold the button for at least 5 seconds until you see the blue LED light blinking.
Placement and Sensing:
Do not submerge the leak detector in water. It can be wall-mounted using
the optional cable sensor or placed on the floor using the on-device water-
sensing contacts and cable sensor.
Optional Cable Sensor:
To extend the water sensing area, connect the accessory cable sensor
(WLD3CABLE sold separately) to the device. The cable sensor jack is only for
the cable sensor, not for an adapter.
When a Leak is Detected:
To silence alerts, press the detector’s button or tap the mute button in
the app. After addressing the cause of the alert, remove the detector and
cable sensor from water, wipe dry, and replace the batteries if necessary.
Troubleshooting:
- Device not Powering On Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient power. Replace with 2 AA batteries if needed.
- Bluetooth Pairing Failed: Perform a factory reset if pairing fails at any stage.
- Factory Reset: Press the button for 1 second to wake up the device, then press and hold for 10 seconds for a factory reset.
FAQs
Q: Can I use rechargeable batteries with the detector?
A: It is recommended to use standard non-rechargeable AA batteries for
optimal performance.
Q: How often should I replace the batteries?
A: It is advised to replace the batteries when they deplete completely or
at least once a year for maintenance.

Download Resideo App
- the Resideo app onto your mobile device.
- Launch the app and sign up for an account. Select L1 WiFi Water Leak and Freeze Detector from the device list.

Install Batteries
The leak detector is powered by 2 AA batteries (included). Open the battery
cover on the detector and install batteries. Press button for 1 second to wake
up the device. Then press and hold button for at least 5 seconds until you see
the blue LED light is blinking.

Optional Cable Sensor
- To install the cable sensor, remove the plug at the bottom of the device and plug in the cable sensor.
- Accessory cable sensors (WLD3CABLE sold separately) can be connected to extend the cable and increase water sensing area. The entire length of the cable is a water sensor.
Note : The cable sensor jack is NOT for plugging in an adaptor. Doing so could damage the leak detector.
When a Leak is Detected
To Silence Alerts
Press the leak detector’s button or tap the mute button in the app to mute
the siren. After you’ve addressed the cause of the alert, remove detector and
cable sensor from water and wipe dry. Replace batteries if they were removed

Device not Powering On
Ensure batteries have sufficient power and are inserted in the correct
orientation. If batteries deplete completely, replace with 2 AA batteries.
Bluetooth Pairing Failed
If bluetooth pairing fails at any stage, perform a factory reset.
Factory Reset
Press button for 1s to wake up device (solid blue LED).Then press and hold
button for 10s (solid orange LED). Two beeps and solid red LED shows reset in
progress. Once LED is off, reset is complete.
