LED s light Universal Dimmer LED Lamps
Important!
- It is dangerous if people without proper training work electrical installation.
- These should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- This dimmer must be protected on the installation side with a circuit breaker that complies with the regulations.
Warning: electrocution hazard
- There may be a dangerous voltage at the output of the dimmer!
- When working on the wiring always switch off the mains voltage. Failure to observe this warning may result in death or serious injury.
Note:
- Operating at elevated temperatures or voltages may activate thermal protection.
- In this case reduce the connected load to avoid this again.
Thermal overload protection
- lintegrated thermal protection circuit. At a dimmer internal temperature of 110° c
- The over-temperature protection is triggered and remains activated until the temperature reaches approximately 75° C has dropped. If this happens more often, please reduce the load.
Short circuit protection
As soon as it is activated, the dimmer will interrupt the operation. After about 5 seconds, the dimmer is reactivated. If a fault is still detected afterwards, the dimmer interrupts the operation until you switch it off by switching it off and switching it back to normal operation. In case of failure, have the installation checked by an electrician.
Properties
- Suitable for ON / OFF or AC switching
- Minimum load 3-5 W with capacitive or resistive load such as dimmable LED lighting, incandescent lamps, high-voltage halogen and low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic transformer.
- Soft-start operation to extend the life of the lamps.
- User setting for the lower brightness value.
- Built-in short-circuit protection, which ensures that the dimmer is protected even in the event of a wiring error or fault
- Built-in thermal cut-out to protect the dimmer at high operating temperature caused by overload.
- Meets CE and international safety standards.
Electrical specifications
Normal operation
- Press knob to turn ON/ OFF.
- Turn the knob to the right to increase the brightness to the maximum value.
- Turn the knob to the left to reduce the brightness to minimum.
Installation
Wiring details
- Disconnect the power supply and secure it against reconnection.
- Remove the existing wall switch.
- Connect the dimmer according to the wiring diagram.
- Mount the cover frame and put the dimmer knob on the shaft.
- Turn power back on and test dimmer function.
Note
The dimmer must always be connected to the phase side of the load.
Dimmers MUST NOT be connected in parallel or in series to a load.
Connection plan
- Problems with dimming? For example: flickering
- Occasional brightness fluctuations
- Lamp at lowest dimming level too bright
- Setting the minimum brightness usually leads to a perfect dimming result.
Setting the minimum
Brightness (A)
- Remove the front panel cover, turn on the lamp (full brightnesS)
- Press the button Min. brightness set (A)” The lamp is now half bright.
- Now adjust the brightness down to the desired level of the basic brightness.
- Then again the button ,Min. brightness set (A)”. The lamp now returns to full brightness. The setting has been saved.
Note:
The setting must be made within 10 seconds, otherwise the program WIll be
terminated and the setting must be carried out again.
Setting operating mode (B)
- The setting is made via the rotary knobmode Set (B)” (switch off mains voltage before setting).
- There are 3 operating modes selectable:
- TEauto” (factory setting) Trailing edge auto load (i.e. devices and lamps) detection, Applicable for most LED lamps
Attention! A common (simultaneous) operation of loads with leading-edge and loads with trailing-edge is not possible
- TE” (Trailing Edge Mode) suitable for the operation of Loads that are to be dimmed with Trailing-Edge dimmers.
- “LE” (Leading Edge Mode) suitable for the operation of loads that are to be dimmed with Leading-Edge dimmers
IMPORTANT NOTE !
When used with wound transformers (magnetic), only the mode “LE” (leading edge) can be usea TEauto” will NOT work in this case! In addition, the basic brightness must be set directly during installation! Non-ob- servance can lead to the defect of the dimmer!
