Overview
The 10260S Series Actuators MOV Assembly Kit allows you to add or replace the MOV assembly in your 10260S actuators. This kit comes in two variants: 51500671-503 and -504.

Procedure

  • WARNING
    Disconnect power before accessing components inside the actuator.

  • ATTENTION
    When working with Printed Wiring Assemblies (PWAs), always protect against electrostatic discharge by wearing a grounded wrist strap.

Step 1

Table 1 MOV Assembly Installation Procedure Action

  1. Remove AC power to the actuator.

  2. Remove the four screws and terminal cover from the side of the actuator case. See Figure 1.

  3. Locate terminals TB1-1 (marked L) and TB1-2 (marked N) and a ground screw on the actuator terminal block. See Figure 2.

  4. Remove the screws from terminals TB1-1 and TB1-2 and the ground screw location as shown in Figure 2.

  5. Install the MOV assembly as shown in Figure 2.
    Note : The larger size lug terminal is attached to the ground screw on the terminal panel. The remaining lug terminals are attached to TB1-1 and TB1-2 on the actuator terminal panel.

  6. Step 6
    Action: Install a new gasket and the terminal panel cover. Secure the cover to the actuator with 4 screws.

  7. Step 7
    Reapply AC power to the actuator.

  8. Step 8
    Verify actuator configuration and check for correct operation.

  10. Return the actuator to service.
