BELOW WATER LEVEL RECHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

Chlorinator should be installed above water level whenever practical. If installed below water level, a drain plug must be removed to empty the high chlorinated water inside to prevent spillage and dangerous! splash back of high chlorinated water during recharging.

1. Shut off pump and timer switches.

2. Shut off control valve.

3. Place a clean container under drain and remove drain plug.

4. Exercise extreme caution when opening or servicing chlorinator. 001 not inhale fumes. Wear protective gear. Remove cover. Water will now drain from chlorinator.
   Empty container back into pool or spa.

5. Replace drain plug with gasket. Fill with proper size tablets or sticks.

6. Making sure 0-ring is clean, lubricated with Silicone and in place, replace cover.

7. Turn on pump and timer switches.

8. Reset control valve to original setting. Inspect inlet and outlet line each time chlorinator is recharged. Replace lines yearly if necessary.

Caution

Do not install chlorinator  into copper plumbing. Pipe damage could occur.
Never install chlorinator heater. Heater damage could occur.
you may substitute bromine tables or sticks for trichlor or in there chlorinators.

DO NOT MIX.

CALCIUM HTPOCHLORITE IS NOT TO BE USED IN ANY FORM.

Bromine Standpipe installation

To increase erosion of small bromine tablets, install Bromine Standpipe as follows:

1. Remove erosion from bottom of chamber exposing check valve (7).
2. Insert nozzle (18) into check valve opening.
3. Cut tube (17) to 6″ length and push tube into adapter opening.

DANGER

To avoid fire or explosion:

Use only Trichloro-s-Triazinetrione Tablets or Bromine Tablets – not bot!

• DO not mix these tablets with each other or with any other chemicals
• DO not use any other chemicals in feeder
• If you don’t know what chemicals are use in the feeder , rinse thoroughly with fresh water before filling with chemicals
• Do not use oil or grease to lubricate )-ring
• Use only pipe sealants formulated for plastics ( Tefion tape, Permatex No.2, or equivalent)

WARNING

To avoid harmful chemical exposure

• Shut off pump and valve(s) before opening feeder
• Avoid inhaling fumes when opening feeder
• Wear eye and skin protection when contacting feeder
• Be sure water-return hose of pool is open, except when servicing unit
• Do not over-tighten connectors. Tighten by hand plus 1/4 turn with wrench
• Keep children away!

> > IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY

1. Shut OFF pump
2. Turn dial control valve of feeder clockwise as far as possible
3. Slowly open release valve at top of lid, wait one minute, contents may be under pressure.
4. Turn lid counter-clockwise to open, do not inhale fumes!

> >TO CLOSE FEEDER

1. Place lid with 0-ring seal onto main body, Engage lid thread and turn clockwise to secure – hand tighten only.
2. Close release valve at top of lid . Leave control valve OFF and turn on pump, the check valve will prevent water from entering the feeder.
3. Turn dial control valve to desired setting
4. Be sure shock or Algae treatment is completely finished (at least 24 hours) before proceeding.
5. Open any inline valves and restart pump.
