Product Usage Instructions

Install the Radio

Before installing the radio, please consider the following:

  • Choose a suitable site with a higher position for better performance.
  • Ensure a clear line-of-sight condition for optimal signal reception.
  • Do not install the base station in illegal places to comply with local regulatory rules.
  • The pole used for installation should have a diameter of 30-50mm.
  • You may need the following tools: ladder, screwdriver, wrench, and waterproof tape.

Install the Radio with Sector Antenna

  1. Mount the radio to a pole using the provided hold hoop.
  2. Connect the device to the antenna using 4 RF cables.
  3. Refer to the antenna setup guide for detailed instructions on installing the sector antenna.

Power up the Radio

Connect the radio to power and network using the following steps:

  1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the POE port of the provided PoE DC Adapter.
  2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of the device.
  3. Connect the LAN port of the PoE DC Adapter to a PC or switch using another Ethernet cable.
  4. Plug the PoE DC Adapter into a standard electrical wall socket.

Note : If you use a PoE Adapter not provided by Wisnetworks, warranty service may not be available if device damage occurs.

Web Configuration

Follow these steps to configure the base station using a web browser:

  1. Ensure all wires are correctly connected.
  2. Configure the host system with a static IP on the 192.168.1.x subnet (x could be 10~254).
  3. Wait a few seconds after powering up the device.
  4. Access 192.168.1.2 using a web browser.
  5. Enter “admin” in both the username and password fields when the login page appears.
  6. Visit the support site at www.wisnetworks.com for more configurations like operating mode and wireless settings.

FAQ

  • Q: What cables should I use for wired Ethernet connections?
    A: Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections.

  • Q: What is the purpose of the reset button?
    A: Pressing the reset button for more than 8 seconds will restore the device to factory settings.

  • Q: What is the responsibility of the professional installer?
    A: The professional installer must ensure that the device is operated within local country regulatory requirements. This includes setting the appropriate radio frequency parameters and complying with region code selection.

  • Q: Are there any safety notices I should be aware of?

Install the radio with sector antenna

  • Press the buckle and moving with the direction as the arrow shown.
  • Using a cable connecting to the ETH port. Slide the cover back to the radio, with the cable passing through the hole

ATTENTION
Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections.

Power up the radio

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the POE port of the provided PoE DC Adapter and the other end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port of the device. Then, connect the LAN port of the PoE DC Adapter to a PC or switch using another Ethernet cable. Finally, plug the PoE DC Adapter into a standard electrical wall socket.

ATTENTION
If you use other PoE Adapter which is not provided by Wisnetworks, we can’t provide warranty service if device damage caused.

Web configuration

  1. Check all wires are correctly connected.
  2. Configure the host system with static IP on the 192.168.1.x (x could be 10~254) subnet.
  3. Using a web browser access 192.168.1.2 (wait a few seconds after device power up).
  4. When login page appears enter “admin” in both the username and password fields.

Installer Compliance Responsibility

  • Devices must be professionally installed and it is the professional installer’s responsibility to make sure the device is operated within local country regulatory requirements.
  • The setting is at Radio page, Country Code. Since Wisnetworks equipment can be set with various radio frequency parameters, such as the radio output power, channels are set with different values due to the region code selection.
  • The installer should use the radio meeting regulatory requirements.

Electrical Safety Information

  1. Compliance is required concerning voltage, frequency, and current requirements indicated on the manufacturer’s label. Connection to a different power source than those specified may result in improper operation, damage to the equipment or pose a fire hazard if the limitations are not followed.
  2. There are no operator-serviceable parts inside this equipment. Service should be provided only by a qualified service technician.
  3. This equipment is provided with a detachable power cord which has an integral safety ground wire intended for connection to a grounded safety outlet.
  4. Do not substitute the power cord with one that is not the provided approved type. Never use an adapter plug to connect to a 2-wire outlet as this will defeat the continuity of the grounding wire.
  5. The equipment requires the use of the ground wire as a part of the safety certification, modification or misuse can provide a shock hazard that can result in serious injury or death.
  6. Contact a qualified electrician or the manufacturer if there are questions about the installation prior to connecting the equipment.
  7. Protective earthing is provided by a Listed AC adapter. Building installation shall provide appropriate short-circuit backup protection.
  8. Protective bonding must be installed in accordance with local national wiring rules and regulations.

CE Marking
CE marking on this product represents the product is in compliance with all directives that are applicable to it. The alert sign must be indicated if a restriction on use is applied to the product and it must follow the CE marking.

Limited Warranty

Wisnetworks warrants that the product(s) furnished hereunder (the “Product(s)”) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment by Wisnetworks under normal use and operation. Wisnetworks sole and exclusive obligation and liability under the foregoing warranty shall be for Wisnetworks, at its discretion, to repair or replace any Product that fails to conform to the above warranty during the above warranty period. The expense of removal and reinstallation of any Product is not included in this warranty. The warranty period of any repaired or replaced Product shall not extend beyond its original term.

Warranty Condition

The above warranty does not apply if the Product

  • has been modified and/or altered, or an addition made thereto, except by Wisnetworks, or our authorized representatives, or as approved by Wisnetworks in writing;
  • has been painted, rebranded or physically modified in any way;
  • has been damaged due to errors or defects in cabling;
  • has been subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence, abnormal physical, electromagnetic or electrical stress, including lightning strikes, or accident;
  • has been damaged or impaired as a result of using third party firmware;
  • has no original Wisnetworks MAC/SN label, or is missing any other original Wisnetworks label(s);
  • human reasons without according to the guide or user manual.

In addition, the above warranty shall apply only if: the product has been properly installed and used at all times in accordance, and in all material respects, with the applicable Product documentation; all
Ethernet cabling runs use CAT5 (or above), and for outdoor installations, shielded Ethernet cabling is used, and for indoor installations, indoor cabling requirements are followed.
