Product Description

The product is smoke detector, it can send out sound and light alarm signal in the early stage of the fire if properly installed and maintained, in that case you will have extra time to control the fire or to evacuate at once. This product is designed for household or similar residential application .

Installation way ceiling mounting

The Area to Install the Smoke Detector

  1. Smoke detector should be installed at the top of a high pointed ceiling as the smoke rising in the air. For flat ceiling, please refer to the position shown in picture 2-1.For inclined ceiling, please refer to the position shown in picture 2-2. (No installation in black Dead Air area.)
  2. There should be no shelter within 0.5 m of the detector.
  3. Smoke detector cannot be installed too close to the gas cooker. For the alarm performance will be decreased if burned by the gas cooker.
  4. Smoke detector can not de installed in the kitchen so as to avoid false alarms caused by cooking fumes or the inlet air is plugged and affects the sensitivity of the detector.
  5. Smoke detector can not be installed in the places with high humidity such as bathroom and hot water stove.
  6. If the room is large, the distance between two detectors shall not exceed 10 meters.
  7. In the garage, products of combustion appear when your automobile is started.
  8. In dusty areas, dust particles may cause nuisance alarm or failure to alarm.

Installation Method

  1. Choose the right installation placement.

  2. Drill 2 round holes with 5mm diameter on the ceiling.
    Distance between the two holes is 75-80 mm.

  3. Use the enclosed two expansion rubber and plugs into the ceiling holes.

  4. Install the mounting bracket of the smoke detector on the ceiling by using the two screws enclosed.

  5. Connect the battery as Pic-3-1, then put it into the battery compartment.

  6. Install the smoke detector to the mounting bracket .

Note: Step 2 and 3 can be ignored if it is mounted on a wooden ceiling.
Test Function

  1. Put the 9 V battery into the detector, LED will flash once every 33 seconds and the alarm won’t make any sound, which indicates the detector will works well in normal standby condition.
  2. Long press the test/hush button for a while, then the smoke detector will flash and 5 seconds later the alarm will emit a sound. When the alarm emits three consecutive sounds, release the button, the detector will stop alarm within seconds.
  3. When press the tast/hush button,the detector will go into the hush mode and LED will flash once every 9 seconds. This will last 9 minutes and willbe back to the normal standby mode(LED flashes onc e every 33 seconds)

Note: when the detector in the hush mode, its sensitivity becomes extremely low and the smoke detector will stop the alarm function about 9 minutes. so make sure this function can be used only in the case of security.

Maintenance

  1. It is recommended to press the test/hush button every week to check if smoke detector works well.
  2. To ensure the sensitivity of the product, clean the surface of the detector with soft brush every month.
  3. The smoke detector has fault self-detection function. When the smoke sensor is short circuited or disconnected, the detector will automatically detect and send a fault signal. For example alarm will emit a beep between two flashes. When the battery voltage is too low, the detector will periodically send out low voltage fault signals. For example LED flashes every 33s and alarm emits a beep, in this case battery should be replaced accordingly.

Trouble Shooting

Problems Cause Shooting method
Press the test/hush button at least 5 seconds,but no alarm 1.The battery

doesn’t have power or it is improperly installed.
2.The alarm function is defective| 1.Replace the battery or re-install the battery.
2.Return the detector to the retailer in warranty period.please replace the detector.
LED flashes every 33s and alarm emits a beep| Low battery capacity| Replace the battery with new one
Alarm emits a beep between two flashes| Smoke sensor failure| Return the detector to retailer in warranty period. If not in warranty period, please replace the detector

Emergency Handling
Please take the following actions when there is a alarm caused by the smoke detector:

  1. For non fire alarm caused by smoking and others, please clear up the source of the smoke in time so as to remove the alarm.
  2. If the detector sending a false alarm, check the installation position of the detector correct or not.
  3. If there is a fire happened but not serious, try to take a fire extinguisher and put out the fire in time.
  4. If the fire is serious, please escape by proper way and report to the police.

Battery Replacement and Test

  1. Use only the following 9V batteries as replacements in this smoke alarm: Alkaline type: PAIRDEER 6LR61;IGNITE 6LR61;DURACELL MN1604;ENERGIZER 522;Gold Peak 1604A;Raymax 6LR61.Carbon Zinc type: PAIRDEER 6F22;IGNITE 6F22:;PEAK POWER 1604E. Replace only with the same or equivalent battery type recommended by the manufacturer.
    Caution: Only use specified battery. Use of other batteries may have a detrimental effect on operation or may cause explosion, resulting in injury or fire.

  2. Connect the positive and negative poles and put the 9V battery into the battery compartment in the base of the detector. (pic 3-1)

  3. Test the alarm to ensure correct operation, whenever the battery is replaced.

  4. If the alarm fails to operate correctly, ask manufacturer for advice.

Product Guarantee

Warranty period is shown on the package, starting from the date of purchase. Keep the receipt of purchase well for guarantee.
Note

  1. Itis safe to cover the sound output hole with your finger during the testing to minimize the sound level emitted.
  2. Do not paint the smoke detector.
  3. Don’t spray air fresheners, hair gels or other aerosols near the detector.
  4. Don’t wipe the detector with chemical solvents for chemicals can damage or pollute the sensors.
  5. Please contact the supplier when the product fails to work. Don’t disassemble and repair without permission, which may affect the warranty.
  6. This product can decrease the accidents happened. However it can not guarantee everything. For your safety, please strengthen safety awareness in addition to the correct use of the product. The product must be maintained regularly according to the instructions.
