DTC 3-25 Thermal Imaging Clip
Removal instructions of the accumulator for recycling purposes
Safety instructions:
The device contains a lithium-ion accumulator, therefore appropriate safety
measures must be applied:
– Make sure that the accumulator is discharged!
– Do not expose the accumulator to fire or high temperatures above 60°C!
– Do not damage, crush or open the accumulator!
– Do not short-circuit the accumulator and do not expose it to liquids!
– Dismantling and disposal of the accumulator may only be carried out by
trained personnel!
– Wear suitable gloves and protective goggles when removing the accumulator!
– Recycle or dispose of the accumulator according to the locally valid
regulations!
Steps for removing the accumulator:
- To remove the battery, loosen the four Torx screws at the front of the objective.
- Disconnect the cables connecting the electronic boards and disconnect the lens section from the rest of the system.
- Now loosen the four screws (A) that fix the battery holder in the housing.
- Remove the cable (B) of the charging electronics from the upper board.
- Pull the battery holder including battery and charging electronics out of the housing.
- Remove the charging electronics (3 screws from the top) from the battery compartment and disconnect the connector (C) of the battery from the circuit board.
- Push the battery out of the battery compartment from the side.
