DOUBLE TANK – FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
BT12 Programmable LCD Water Level Indicator
FOR USE WITH RV ELECTRONICS PROGRAMMABLE SENDER PROBES ONLY.
SUITABLE FOR PLASTIC AND METAL TANKS.
Choose a position to place the water gauge display where it is possible to
feed the wiring loom through the wall cavity or cupboard to the tank sender.
Mark out the hole using the provided template and carefully cut internal wall
making sure not to cut into any wall beams, wiring or plumbing.
Feed the wiring loom to the senders through the wall cavity, remove sticky tab
backing from the display unit and attach to wall.
The RV Electronics display unit works by reading each sender voltage and
comparing it to the pre-calibrated empty and full voltages for each tank.
Each tank empty and full setting is set by sliding one of the DIP switches to
on and by pressing the set button. The factory pre-programmed settings are for
the standard tank height of 180mm and sender positioned halfway up the tank.
If your installation is different, you will need to follow the tank
calibration procedure below.
STEP 1: Double gauge example: Drain the water out of the tanks that
you wish to calibrate and remove the front cover by pushing the wings outwards
from centre. Once removed you will see a 6 position DIP switch and a set
button on the front of the gauge board.
STEP 2: The double tank diagram in Fig 1 shows only L & R plugs are used.
In Fig 2, switches 1 & 2 are used for L plug and switches 5 & 6 for R plug.
STEP 3: To set empty, slide the DIP switch in position 1 to ON and press
SET button until the 2 bottom LCD needles on the gauge flash. (Make sure you
return the DIP switch to OFF when done).
STEP 4: To set display full, fill the water tank to full, slide the DIP
switch in position 2 to ON, and press SET button until the top two LCD needles
on the gauge flash. (Make sure you return the DIP switch to off when done).
For R Tank, use 5 for EMPTY and 6 for FULL.
If you make a mistake or want to reset a tank to the factory settings, simply
slide both the EMPTY and FULL DIP switches to ON for the tank you wish to
reset. (eg DIP position 1 + 2) Press and hold SET button until all the gauge
needles flash ON and OFF.
If you wish to reset the gauge to default factory settings, simply set all DIP
switches to ON and Press and hold SET button until all gauge needles flash ON
and OFF.
