Introduction
A nebulizer is a device used for inhalation therapy. It works by converting
liquid medication into a fine mist that can be inhaled into the respiratory
system. Nebulizing therapy is commonly used for treating respiratory
conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergies.
Advantages of Nebulizing Therapy
- Delivers large drug doses directly to the inflammatory zone.
- Reduces the risk of side effects to other organs.
- Economical means of treatment with purposeful use of medication.
- Suitable for all age groups, including children, elderly, and infirm patients.
Adjustable Particle Size Technology
The Turbo Car Nebulizer features adjustable particle size technology,
allowing you to customize the aerosol particle size for efficient treatment of
different respiratory regions.
Treatment of Upper Airways (Oropharynx, Larynx, Trachea)
To treat the upper airways, twist the medicine cup to the MAX (II)
position. The particle size of the aerosol generated will be 6 microns (MMAD).
Treatment of Lower Airways (Bronchi, Bronchitis)
To treat lower airways, turn the medicine cup to the MIN (I) position. The
particle size of the aerosol generated will be 3 microns (MMAD).

DEAR DR. FREI COMPRESSOR NEBULIZER OWNER®
Thank you for choosing Dr. Frei Compressor Nebulizer model TURBO CAR. We are
sure that having appraised worthily the high quality and reliability of this
device you will become a regular user of the products of the Swiss trademark
Dr. Frei®.
Your nebulizer is intended for use in the treatment of asthma, COPD, and other
respiratory ailments in which an aerosolized medication is required during
therapy. Aerosol easily and quickly comes to both upper and lower respiratory
tracks.
APS (Adjustable Particle Size – Technology of particle size adjustment) allows
the aerosol with different particle sizes for efficient treatment of the upper
and lower respiratory tract. Also, there is a nasal washer in the set. Nasal
washing is highly effective for the treatment of colds, allergies, sinusitis,
and chronic rhinitis. Saline solutions and medicines are used for the
treatment of the above-mentioned diseases. Moreover, nasal rinsing allows for
eliminating mucins, dust, and repugnant substances and cleaning the nasal
cavity. Before starting to use the compressor nebulizer please study the
user’s manual carefully. Following the rules stated in the user’s manual will
provide for the faultless operation of the compressor nebulizer for a long
period. For all questions concerning the unit please contact the service
center of the distributor of the trademark Dr. Frei® in your country.
INTRODUCTION
What is a nebulizer and how does it work?
The compressor nebulizer system is a device that turns a liquid drug into a
fine aerosol under the influence of compressed air. Aerosol contains large and
small particles. When breathing gravity makes the larger particles accumulate
on the walls of the upper respiratory passages while the smaller particles
have enough time to reach the lower bronchial branches. Therefore the drug
comes to all parts of the patient’s bronchial tree, including the smallest
bronchi and alveoli, and gets into the blood vessels on the walls of the
alveoli in big therapeutic dozes with tiny or no side effects.
What is nebulizing therapy used for?
Nebulizer systems are used by patients with:
- acute respiratory diseases,
- obstructive pulmonary disease,
- chronic inflammatory processes in respiratory passages such as chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma (incl. chronic or unstable ones, exacerbation of asthma), chronic pharyngitis,
- respiratory passage infections,
- abnormalities in secretion quality and secreting in bronchi,
- different types of coughing.
What are the advantages of nebulizing therapy?
Nebulizing therapy gives a possibility to quickly affect the inflammatory
zone by big drug dozes which increases the influence of the treatment and
reduces the risk of side effects to other organs. Nebulizing therapy is the
easiest way of inhalation treatment and it is also an economical means of
treatment from the point of view of purposeful use of drug. Aerosol treatment
with the help of nebulizing systems can be used for children, elderly, and
infirm patients.
Adjustable Particle Size Technology
- Adjustable particle size technology allows generating the of aerosol with different particle sizes for efficient treatment of the upper and lower respiratory tract. Particle size adjustment can be made by the user easily, without exchanging parts.
- Twist medicine cup to MAX (II) for treatment of upper airways (oropharynx, larynx, trachea). In the MAX (II) position particle size of the aerosol generated will be 6 microns (MMAD).
- Turn the medicine cup to MIN (I) for treatment of lower airways (bronchi, bronchial). In the MIN (I) position particle size of the aerosol generated will be 3 microns (MMAD).
