Safety Instruction

GFCI protection. The device must and can only be connected to a power circuit equipped with a leakage protection switch (GFCI) provided by the installer and routinely tested. It can be tested by pressing the test button of the GFCI. The GFCI should cut off the power supply, and then press the reset button to turn it on. An untested or detected faulty GFCI cannot be used. Users are required to test it every month, and when a problem is found, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician or manufacturer, otherwise, there will be a risk of electric shock.

The equipment must be grounded. To reduce the danger of electric shock, the grounding wire cross-sectional area of the power wire shall be equivalent to other power cables supplying the equipment and connected to a 3-bit terminal or in the equipped power box, connecting the 3-core wire of the equipment to the corre-sponding terminal.

  1. The water temperature in the pool or hot tub should not exceed 40°C/104°F. It is recommended to use a lower water temperature when using for more than 10-15 minutes or for young children. Using a hot tub with water temperature over 40°C will endanger human health and may cause heater tripping.
  2. Long-term immersion in hot water may lead to overheating. Symptoms include increased body temperature, dizziness, dullness, sleepiness, and fainting.
  3. People who are pregnant, obese, have a history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, or diabetes should consult a doctor before using a hot tub.
  4. No other electronic devices (such as lights, telephones, hairdryers, radios or televisions) are allowed within 1.5 meters (5 feet) of the hot tub or pool.
  5. The pool heater should not be used in salt, acid or alkaline water, let alone in other places with chemically corrosive gases or solvents.

Operating Instruction

  1. Initial test of the temperature settings
The pool heater is equipped with an over-temperature protection switch to limit overheating and protect the user from danger. However, after installation, the user should first check the proper function of the heater to ensure safe operation by filling the pool to the proper level and activating it to check. Let the heater run until the temperature stabilizes at the highest level and the display light goes off, and measure the water temperature with a thermometer to make sure it is at 40°C. The temperature you measure may be slightly above or below the pre-set 40°C. If the deviation is $5°C or more, please contact us as soon as possible.

  2. Normal operation
The operation of the heater is fully automatic. When the knob is clockwise to the appropriate position, the heater will be turned on and the heating indicator light. After the heater through a period of operation, it will maintain the pool corresponding to the water temperature of the knob in that position; When the knob is counterclockwise to the appropriate position, the heating will stop and the heating indicator light off. When the system runs for a long time, the thermostat’s internal temperature control device will maintain the water temperature at a predetermined level.

  3. Self-heating
When the water temperature reaches the preset temperature, the heater will automatically stop. And when the temperature is lower than the preset temperature, the heater will automatically turn on again. As long as the water pump is running, the heater will operate intermittently in an on-and-off cycle.

  4. High-Temperature Protection and Reset Button
The heater has a high-temperature protection switch. When the temperature reaches 50°C due to a lack of water flow or a blockage in the inlet, the heater will trip (cut off power). Only when the fault is cleared and the temperature has dropped to about 38°C can the reset button be pressed and the heater will resume normal operation.

  5. Dry Burning Prevention
The heater is equipped with a pressure switch to protect it from the risk of dry burning due to a lack of water in the operating process. If the water pressure drops to 15kPa or less during operation, the pressure switch will shut off the power. Only when the water pump is operating normally and the water pressure is maintained at a level above 15kPa, the heater may operate normally.

Installation Instruction

  1. Valves or check valves cannot be installed along the piping from the heater outlet to the middle of the pool.
  2. Either the inlet or outlet at each end of the heater must not be blocked. When the heater is operating, water must enter through the inlet and exit through the outlet.
  3. When installing the heater, the centerline of the inlet must be aligned with the centerline of the water pump outlet or the centerline of the piping with the shortest distance and the least number of bends possible.
  4. Pipes, water pump and heater must be installed to ensure that the water inside is drained.
Wiring Diagram

220V Wiring Diagram
If your local is 220V, then the brown wire should connected to the live wire that is the Ll terminal. The blue wire should be connected to the zero wire that is the NI terminal. The wire with the colour yellow and green needs to be connected to the ground wire.

110V Wiring Diagram
If your local is 110V, then the brown wire is connected to the live wire is the Ll terminal. The blue wire is also connected to the live wire which is the L2 terminal. The wire with the colours yellow and green needs to be connected to the ground wire.
